AS much as a love kobe and michael i have to say vince carter.In the 2000 dunk contest he just showed everybody what he can do.He is the only one that put his arm in the rim.Nobody has ever done that!

Actually, in Jordan's book, I heard that he cited having a 48" (122 cm) vertical, which puts him above Vince Carter and Kobe.

Also a guy named Kadour Ziani of SlamNation claims he can jump 56 inches. You can check him out on youtube. THere is also a man named Air Up There of And1 that actualy DID the 720 dunk at a height of only 6 foot 2.
Also Tom W, I think you mistaked Mugsy Bogues for Spud Webb because Mugsy has never won the dunk competition nor was he ever able to dunk.

Jordan is the clutch player here. Kobe is the recluse star. And Carter is the most athletic, so I'd have to say Vince-anity Baby!

The Shortest player in the NBA ever to win the slam dunk competition was actually SPUD WEBB who is 5'7.
Nate Robinson also did at at 5'9.
I think Vince Carter jumps the highest out of anyone in the league. Jordan can soaaar as well, by my nod is going to VC.

Well Jordan jumps farther than both but vince has a bigger vertical jump thn the both and kobe just cant jump
