If it is the Sox vs Yanks, who has home field? I thought the Yanks did because of the head to head but I just saw a report saying the Sox do because of overall record.

Torre has been nothing but class during his entire time with the Yankees. His record is unparalleded yet George has never been totally satisfied. Even after the 1998 season George was not happy that the Yankees lost 2 games during the entire playoffs. He said something to the effect that a team like this should win every game. What do you do with a guy like that?

Im going to the Yanks game tomorrow night to see them win again, and I want to make a sign.. anyone have a good idea for a clever sign phrase? I have a few in mind, but I was just curious to see what people would say.

And yes, Im fully prepared for all the Yankee-haters to write dumb things in response to this question... (Yankee fans, feel free to give those answers thumbs down, so we dont have to look at them lol)

I think any team can win the best of 5 even if there not the better team.
I am a SOX fan but would like to see the ALDS go to 7 games.
The Sox would have won anyways..
Just hate the system.

Just curious- if they can stop for natural phenomena, like heavy rain, why couldn't they stop the game for a swarm of mayflies?

They were clearly disturbing play, and threw everyone off.

Any answers?

or is he just trying to deflect attention away from the team in order to take some of the pressure off? As the owner, not withstanding, does it still give him right to act like a mad man or is there a method to his madness?

are you rooting for cleveland cuz you know you will stomp on them, because you are scared of the yanks, or do you want to play the yankees cuz thats how it is supposed to be.

i might hate all of you but i love playing you guys, one cuz i respect you for loving your team as much as i love the yankees, and two its just more fun, my homo brother is a sox fan ( i think he was adopted, my dad and grandpa disown him) and its fun having people that will argue pationately about there team. even though you guys suck and are always wrong. ALWAYS!!!

Sorry to Mr. October to stealing ur idea...again

Give thumbs up, and thumbs down, because if ur answer(or team gets the most thumbs up, you get best answer, but thumbs down= negative points) so give thumbs up, and thumbs down, good luck to all people and teams!

I don't follow the Cubs really at all, but "curses" and superstitions aside, what is it about the Chicago Cubs that allows them to make it to the playoffs, only to fail? Is their division weak? Is there some sort of stage fright? How can a team be good in the regular season and then suddenly fall apart?

Much like at the beginning of this season, and, more importantly, at the beginning of this series, they guaranteed the Yankees will win in the Playoffs. NOW they are acting, once again, as though it's all over and they have come bac kto wrap it up, all because they've manageed to avoid a sweep of this series. Yankees fans need to simmer down now, tone the volume of the banter down slightly and learn what it means to be humble the definition of humility...This WILL NOT be the first time the Yankees have suffered a first-round exit!

If the Indians are the #1 Seed (assuming they are because they are playing the wild card team), why would the Red Sox have home field advantage in the series? Assuming Indians #1 playing NYY #4. Red Sox #2 playing Angels #3 is how I am figuring it broken out right now. Shouldn't the Red Sox be the #1 seed if they will have home field advantage?
