Joe knows the drill and he won't resign, because the club is going to win the WS.

I hope he doesnt get fired, and I hope the Yankees win the Series, but if by chance he does leave, I think it would have a huge effect on the club. Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettite, and A-Rod are all up for free-agency, and I think whether or not Joe is gonna be there will be a deciding factor in whether these players go or stay. They might not want to have to get used to having a different coach. I think it might be hard of Jeter, who has spent his whole career with Joe as manager. I certainly hope the Yankees keep playing well, and Joe can keep his job.

I really hope Torre doesn't get fired! After the Yankees started out the way they did, they should be proud to make it this far...Joe has done a great job with the team! I'm hoping the Yankees win the series...it will take a lot, but they can do it!! =)

I would much rather see Torre resign than George fire him........George's mouth was big and ugly today and Torre doesn't deserve that at all..............I think, because George is the egotist and dictator that he is, he will fire Torre no matter what the outcome of the playoffs are..........He has to show he meant what he said and he won't back down........He had said about a week or 2 ago that he wanted Torre back as manager next year and now that the Yanks are in deep water he's throwing it all on Torre's shoulders..........Will the Yanks win the series???.........Right now I'm thinking about them winning the next game........Hopefully they can do that........Take it a game at a time and don't jump headlong into a series which may not happen for them.......Ya gotta be in it to win it and so far there's no one in it yet..........CAT

I'm not a Yankees fan (I'm a Red Sox fan)...but I can honestly say that the last person they should blame is Toree. And I think it would be terrible if he was fired because the Yankees just couldn't do it this season....

Joe Torre has forgotten more about baseball than Stienbrenner will ever know, so if he fires him he's a bigger jerk than I gave him credit for. Joe Torre will have no trouble finding a new home in baseball, but he is a perfect NY Yankee coach. The only good reason to fire him would be if he made poor decisions causing losses. That hasn't happened , the players need to step it up and they'll be the first to admit it.

The Yankees won't win the series and Torre should not be fired, but the Boss's record on such things would make it not surprising if Torre is fired.

I think with how Steinbrenner's been on Torre's behind all the time, he'll resign if the Yanks don't win the series. I hope they do win so he'll stay.

I think George is old and crazy. Who knows if he even makes the decisions anymore?! I think Toree should retire. Win or Lose.
