are you rooting for cleveland cuz you know you will stomp on them, because you are scared of the yanks, or do you want to play the yankees cuz thats how it is supposed to be.
i might hate all of you but i love playing you guys, one cuz i respect you for loving your team as much as i love the yankees, and two its just more fun, my homo brother is a sox fan ( i think he was adopted, my dad and grandpa disown him) and its fun having people that will argue pationately about there team. even though you guys suck and are always wrong. ALWAYS!!!

tony NO u r not a yankee fan. a yankee fan would know that we have mussina who can still pitch and wang on short rest but he is awesome at home, which is why they shouldnt have used him until tonite but oh well, hindsights 20/20. and a yankee fan would never concede a series.

It is always sweeter to advance after a great series with the Yanks. Let's face it, whoever wins the ALCS will probably move on to win the World Series, so the ALCS may as well be exciting. Whoever advances to play the sox, I hope it goes five games so they will be a little tired. Obviously we'll take whatever advantage we can as red sox fans.
As a side, it would be nice to see Trot Nixon make it to the ALCS too, he was always a hard nosed player for us. Too bad about his error last night.

I am rooting for the Indians to win cause I have always liked them, and because the Yankees need to get their butts kicked. And let me ask you this, if the Indians beat the Yankees, how are they not a better match-up for the Sox?
"are you rooting for cleveland cuz you know you will stomp on them, because you are scared of the yanks, or do you want to play the yankees cuz thats how it is supposed to be."
-from the looks of things thus far I'd say the Sox would be more likely to stomp on the Yankees than the Indians. If you want them to win, tell them to man up cause they blew badly up till tonight. Damn the Yankees ruining the whole first three game shut-out situation accross the national and america league play offs. It would have fit better if it said 3-0 instead of 2-1. If you want them to move on against the Sox you better pray they win the next game... personally I'll still be rooting for the Indians.

in basic terms 3? one million. Beating the Yankees in the 2004 ALCS. 2. the eco-friendly Monstah 3. the reality that the pink Sox have the oldest ballpark in MLB 4. The instruction manual scoreboard 5. area 40 two, row 37, seat 21 6. ending an 86 365 days "curse" 7. Boston is between the main historic & superb cities 8. The impossible Dream 9. The retired numbers 10. Rooting against the Yankees 11. "candy Caroline"

Yeah, i'd love to see the Sox take the World Series again, but the only thing that truly matters is watching the Evil Empire walk off the field with their heads hung in shame. And your brother is neither adopted nor a homo...he just has a soul ;)

Yes, as a Red Sox fan, I want the Yanks to win. Cleveland would just roll over and die vs the Sox where as the Yanks have home field so it would be more interesting but same outcome.
Sox win either way so im not gonna be greedy and be pissed about who we play.

nothing will be sweeter than '04 but yes, it is always better to play NY on the way. If we can't play you than at leat wear the tribe down. I spent my life waiting for 04 after a part of me died in the past (Dent & Buckner). FOX is hoping for a NY comeback I'm sure... Nothing brings better ratings in baseball!

I would love to see the Yank lose in the first round because they are cocky and arrogant.
In past years I think the Sox need to go thru the Yanks but this year who cares.
Justice would be served to see them lose in the first round.
The best team will still win and if Cleveland beats them they are better.
It would be funny to see them lose though in the first round again.
Yanks vs. Sox is always good for baseball and TV though..
Who cares.

Remember pal, your Yankees have won one game, and the way the Red Sox are playing, they will stomp the Yankees as well.
