I am the #1 yankee hater of all time in American history.
I have been since I was 6 years old, and I will be until the day I die.
I hate them NOT because of the payroll (that is a lame excuse) but because they (players & fans) are a bunch of rude, obnoxious, self-absorbed, thoughtless, inconsiderate little brats!
They have no idea what is like to have to actually WORK for what you get. They automatically expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter.
That is why it is so much fun to see them lose like they have been the last 7 years. I will continue to dog the yankees in hopes that never win a World Series this century or next.

Here's a new reason: Joe Torre is one game away from unemployment. He's been in the playoffs every single year of his 12-year career as Yankee manager, and now his job comes down to coming back against Cleveland. What sort of standard is that?
How many teams would take Joe Torre right now if they had the chance? More than 20?

Teams like the Yankees (an the Red Sox) spend such enormous amounts of money buying mercenary players that they shift the balance in the AL, making teams in their division irrelevant, and making competitive balance an impossibility.
The Yankees are ruining baseball!

Because they, and the beloved media practically GUARANTEE a world series championship, as though their team can't be beaten..There seems to be no understanding of the word HUMILITY to a Yankees fan.
That's one type of Yankees fan...
The other type is the baseball-know-nothing who believes and follows anything and everything the media tells them to..

To Yankees: They spend all this money on talent, and in the long run it gets them no where, when small market teams, are the ones making noise in the playoffs.
Fans: Ignorance.
