delay for bugs?
the reason they delay for heavy rain is to prevent the infield from becoming mud. they do not delay for minor rain or snow. they'd delay for heavy fog because you can't see the ball. the bugs weren't having an effect on the field. both teams had to deal with the bugs. boo hoo to the yankees for letting it get to them. the indians didn't forget how to pitch because of the bugs. and they didn't teach the bugs to only attack yankees
you people just have to whine about something, don't you?

Because they have played similiar games in the past. The president has been set that games are played through bugs. Kansas City had a game like this as did Arizona earlier this season.
The bugs also affected each team equally and didn't pose a safety risk (the reason they delay for rain).

They didnt throw the Indians off. Are the Yankee millionaires that thin skinned that some bugs cause them to lose their game. What a bunch of over paid wusses. And their fans must be a bunch of pampered babies as well.

You can blame the umpires but if it was so bad that the players performance was really affected than why didnt the players or managers tell thet umpires?

They had a scheldule so I guess they couldn't delay but if they could they prob. would of. If it weren't for the bugs I would say the Yankees would of had a way better chance of winning. Cleaveland was used to the bugs so I guess it wasn't something "new" to them.

I read in the paper that no one asked for the game to stop. (Players/ Managers)
Everyone played under the same conditions so there was no advantage.
