Why does everybody underestimates the diamondbacks?

I know the reason I always underestimated the diamondbacks is because they were one of the new teams. I never really took the new teams like the Marlins, Devil Rays and Rockies very seriously.

I always saw them as small market "filler" teams who weren't suppose to win the world series, but instead prep younger talent for the bigger and better teams.

I guess I was a big bowl of wrong.

I dont. They are an excellent and well rounded team that has been consistant all year.
The thing that could be worrisome for D'Backs fans is, The Rockies had to fight to sweep the Phillies whereas the Diamondbacks only had to show up to beat the hapless Cubs.

P.S.: As for their low scoring stats, do not forget about the 1906 White Sox and the 1960 Pirates.

They were outscored by opponents this season. Most statistical analysts say that's the sign of a somewhat lucky team. Close games usually flip on bounces, and a team can have more than its share of such games. That apparently happened to the D-Backs.

Once you get to the playoffs, though, we start over. And Arizona obviously is playing well.

I don't. As a Rockies fan, I'd rather be facing the Cubs than the D-Backs. I think this series could go all the way to game 7.
