Are they going to be the next Boston Celtics?

Is this the start of a slow decline into mediocrity just like the Boston Celtics?

I'm not a yankees fan but I kinda feel bad for this team...they have the right players but they don't know how to utilize them

I don't see much teamwork at all (unless they're turning double plays) and everyone wants to be a hero and the be the guy who wants to hit the big 3 run home run

THey have 4 speedy guys who are good hitters at the top of the lineup...Damon, Melky, Jeter and A-rod...imagine if you put the hit and run on with these guys and steal bases as well. Each of these guys have 25/25 potential (except Melky maybe)

speed never goes into a slump and why won't they utilise the speed they have when things are not going their way and they have to mount a come back or when they need a crucial run?

just like the cubs why is the managment so lousy at fixing pitching

Roger Clemens was never the answer, so why did they sign him to a huge contract?

i have been an astros fan forever and really want to see them have a world series team. i know this year is very very unlikely but what about next? with biggio retiring and several contracts ending, what do you think the astros will do this winter? now that we got rid of tim purpura (thank god!). i really hope the astros acquire or call up some young energetic players like pence.

I cant believe how inconsistent my beloved NY Yankees are this year, I mean they are really bad then they play Boston who has the best record in the majors totally outplay them in every facet, sweep the Red Sox, lose 2 out of 3 to Tampa Bay not a good team and are losing to Seattle 6-1 as I am watching right now. It has been like this all year they play great for a week and then they play bad for a week, I just dont get it and I dont think its because of Joe Torre. What are your thoughts?

There is no way in hell he is only 262. I say he's more like 300, anyone agree? No doubt though that Prince can bring the pop though.

at a baseball game is see a 2 year old little brat running up and down the aisle, after I spent my hard earned money paying for a ticket to see a game. I'm not saying that kids shouldn't go to a game, kids being 8, 9, 10, little league age. But keep your infants, toddlers and terrible 2's at home. Just because you want and love kids, doesn't mean we all do. And that goes for movies and going out to eat.

A player gets at least 20 of each in doubles, triples, homers and steals. Curtis Granderson is 1 HR and 3 SB shy of doing just that. Has anyone done it before? I found Buck Freeman from the Senators was close, coming 1 double short of reaching all marks in 1899.

..just how good is this guy? Are the Braves going to open up a starting slot for him by trading Renteria or Johnson, or are they gonna have him play the role of super sub?

1) The 2007 version of the 2006 White Sox.
2) So much talent - so little success.
3) Just plain bad. Sorry we let you down.

Yes, he's 14-10 which some would say is a decent record, but for Santana? He's suppose to be in the running for the Cy Young Award.

I know he hasn't been getting much run support, but can't the number on how many homerunes he's given up!

Is this just still a bad year for him? Is he still worth alot? How good does a pitcher have to be to throw only fastballs, changeups, and rarely a slider?

Of the 250+ no hitters that have been thrown in MLB, what team had the best winning percentage at the time of being no-hit, and which team was the worst winning percentage at the time of throwing a no-hitter? I'm not sure if this info is even attainable.

Clay Buchholz of the Red Sox didn't give up any hits to the Orioles a few days ago.

Should this even be entered into the record books since the Orioles showed how bad of a team they have by giving up 30 runs a few weeks ago --- the first time any team has allowed 30 runs over 100 years???

Should this "no-hitter" carry any more weight than if the Red Sox had beaten a little league team?
