Our pitching has held up all year. I question, seriously question the closer role though. Joe Borowski is a joke and the numbers prove it. Betancourt walked right in and closed his first game of the year the other night in typical Betancourt impressive fashion. I believe Borowski is the lone weakness pitching wise. Perez and Betancourt are tow of the best bullpen pitchers in the American league. Hitting wise? I have my concerns, Jhonny Peralta for one is a joke-the guy will swing at anything within 20 feet from home plate. The addition of Asdrubal Cabrera has vastly improved the offense, thus eliminating the weak stick of Joshn barfield at 2nd base, in addition-Cabrera is a much better fielder. Chris Gomez has been a much needed spark plug to Indians offense. I think Kenny Lofton, who does nothing but come through in the clutch should see more playing time. Victor Martinez will continue to hamme rpicthes, Travis Hafner is heating up, finally. I have NEVER been impressed with Grady Sizemore in the leadoff spot, it weakens the team. He needs to cut down on his K's too. I just don't see them folding though. They folded in July and half of August...they are pretty hot right now. Hot streaks in September lead to big things in October.

The Indians will stay hot for the rest of the regular season. The new batting lineup for Cleveland is perfect. Three of the five pitchers have at least 14 wins right now. I think Sabathia and Carmona will be close to 20 wins by the end of September.

There is no reason for it to fall apart. Or pitching has the 2nd best ERA in the league since the AS break. The hitting is coming around, and even though we were shut out yesterday we have been on fire latley. We have won 13 out of our last 17 games.

We will hold up just fine. We didnt find a pitcher (Kenny Rogers) and a hitter (Gary Sheffield) Hanging out at Dennys waiting for the early bird special, and build our team around them. The fact that they got hurt and you fell apart wasnt really suprising.

The Indians are good enough to win and only time will tell if they get there.
