Piazza's home run on September 21 2001. It was the 8th inning against the braves and the mets were down 2-1, and he hit a game winning 2 run homer. The great significance of this homer is that it was the first game since 9-11, and it lifted the city.

Todd Pratt's homerun in Game 4 of the NLDS vs. Arizona (off of Matt Mantei) on October 9,1999 ended the series and sent the Mets to the NLCS against the Braves where Robin Ventura hit his "grand slam single" on October 17,1999 (in the 15th inning in the rain).

I have to go with Robin Ventura's grand slam single in the 1999 NLCS. That game was what....I think in the 15th inning when the bases were loaded and he hit that ball over the wall but got mobbed and never made it passed first base.
I also have to say Mike Piazza's go-ahead homerun in the 10 running inning to come back at beat the Braves.

Tommie Agee and Donn Clendennon has some giant HRs in the 1969 series agains the Os. Long time ago, many of you younger people do not go back that far.
But it was the first championship and I was a kid.
It was an amazing time.
