Not only am I feeling the pressure of getting to the playoffs,
but I'm terribly sad that there's such a short time left!!!

I'm pretty sure they'll make it to the postseason because,
well, let's face it, ~ they're the Yankees!!!!!

But I'm still a lil worried about my sweet, sexy boys this month!

(*sigh*)

The funny part is they are liable to be eliminated by Toronto with 7 games against them. And the fact that the Jays have 6 games against Baltimore and another 6 against Tampa this month, being just 5.5 games out, they and the Tigers probably have the best chance. The Yankees have been too streaky lately. They've had a good record, but tend to lose games they should win, i.e. Tampa series this past weekend.

It may be September, but I refuse to count any team out. The Yankees are known for comebacks. Panicking time comes waaaaaay at the end of the month. My Yanks won't choke. I hope.

Yankees Love. <3

Pressure doesn't start until the dates have double digits and the Magic Numbers have single digits, not the other way around.

If you're 3 games out with 5 to play - THEN PANIC! Until then, don't sweat the small stuff.

Of course, after 16 heart attacks and 8 heart procedures, I gave up panicking over sports a decade ago! LOL

You can say that. I think the Yankees will turn it around. Maybe Joe Torre should give a speech about going after the playoffs, then the World Series. He should end it by saying, "Lets win it for the Scooter".

To me, I hve felt the pressure all month. It's the Red Sox. I've spent the last two years studying the Red Sox history as much as I have been able to, and the conclusion I have come to is: They choke

The pressure is on even MORE

The Yankees like to make thing interesting. Losing to the Mariners today didn't make our plight any better. I hope we can string a couple of wins together. We're going to need it.

My teams got nothin too loose.I do wish the A's could just sweep the Angels, scare the Mariners ,so people would actually count them in, it seems that we've done that but we let suckey teams beat us like the Royals and the Rangers.
