I have to agree with you...I was at a Red Sox game here in Chicago in 2005 and I had a family of White Sox fans behind me and the mother had her 2 or 3 year old kid on her lap and the kid kept kicking the back of my seat...finally I turned around and asked her if she would please stop her child...she just glared at me...and then her husband started throwing peanut shells at me...lucky for me they were band wagon White Sox fans and they left in the fourth inning.

Meh. Running up and down the aisles is always bad; at the least, it is dangerous for the kids. And 2 year-olds don't belong at most movies or restaurants nicer than McDonald's. But a ball game? I have to say that IF the parent keeps the kid in control (or leaves if the kid acts up), let the young'uns learn how to love the game!
And NO, I do not have kids and normally am not thrilled to see them out in public.

I just brought my 2 year old niece to her first game on Friday ,she had so much fun,and for the last couple of days all she does is sing take me out to the ball game.I don't see the big deal ,baseball is a family thing,of course people are gonna bring their children.Children are so full of joy and i guess you only understand if you have children in your family. But bringing kids to baseball games is what its all about ,their not pets their people ,so get over what ever thing you have against children and do something else.

Yah...I was at a Rangers game last month and these people had twin boys who were about 2-3 maybe.. They were okay but they threw a fit for like a whole inning and it was SO distracting. Drop the kids off with grandma if they cry too much! I want to watch my effing game!

That's why stadiums like Great American and Busch III have play areas for the kids to burn off all that energy. Also, kids under 3 get in without paying at these parks and most games have family pricing (Explains why a small market like St. Louis get 3.5M every year, win or not!).
Here in Cincinnati, we have a Collegiate wooden bat league in the early summer where families are encouraged to come out for a variety of activities.
So, face it, you're going to have to get a bunch of rugrats of your own and join the crowd! :)

Nah. Go to the ballpark with kids if you want. Cantankerous old men be damned. Family is family and baseball is a family game. Everyone is welcomed. It's your hard earned money, too.

gosh..
baseball's supposed to be a family atmosphere
kids are supposed to make it fun.
and even if they are two or sumthing it's an experience for them
although i agree that it is dangerous for them to be running around like that
