A player gets at least 20 of each in doubles, triples, homers and steals. Curtis Granderson is 1 HR and 3 SB shy of doing just that. Has anyone done it before? I found Buck Freeman from the Senators was close, coming 1 double short of reaching all marks in 1899.

Willie Mays did it in 1957.
Frank Schulte in 1911.

I think that's all.

In 1979, George Brett had 42 doubles, 20 triples, 23 home runs and 17 steals. That is pretty close.

Records from 1899 are basically of no consequence. The game has changed so much. Just compare the gloves of that time, basicall a piece of leather resembling a hand. Hitters had a huge advantage.
