In a Twi-Doubleheader ( when 2 games are played back to back and fans can watch 2 game for 1 ticket ) wouldnt there be 2 tickets for every seat? Sence 2 games were sold and there have been 2 tickets sold for ever seat.

So what happens when you go to the game and find someone in your seat? What do you do ?

Ok so I am stumped. I have tickets to Giants @ Pirates for April 15, but it was rained out. So now the game is on Augest 13 in a doubleheader. And I have know idea if I have tickets to game 1 or 2 !

( See the April 14th game was also rained out so they had a doubleheader on April 15 ... but that 2 was also rained out so they schedualed the doubleheader that got rained out for Augest 13. )

So on the Pirates schedual it just say doubleheader

Game1: 5:05 ( makeup for Augest 15 )

Game 2: TBD ( makeup for Augest 15 )

Can someone please figuire out with game I have?

Here is the link to the Pirates schedual...

What is a 5 tool player?
What is a 6 too player?

Can you give me some examples of a 1,2,3,4,5,6, etc. tool player using modern day player examples?

If some of these dont exist, then say so!

BONUS QUESTION:
Who do you think will win the NL MVP and Cy Young award winners for this season?

I say Brad Penny for Cy Young, but i'm stuck for MVP.
Utley or Howard maybe?

Thankyou for your time.
I know its kind of a long question, so I appreciate your time and your responses!

They had a baseball edition on Mythbusters. They said you could not knock the cover off the ball. In the HBO special about Mickey Mantle, it showed Mantle holding up a ball that had a quarter-sized hole in the cover after he had hit it. Are there any other verified stories out there about hitters damaging baseballs? Would these rare occurences only happen if the ball had some defect in the lacing or something? Whatcha all got on this?

The ball has no value to him except that it's Barry Bonds 756th HR. The ball is only conceived to be worth $500,000 by people who think that's what it would be worth. Isn't the ball priceless? And if the IRS can do that, shouldn't everyone who catches a HR or foulball be taxed? Or should they just throw the ball back onto the field? LOL

I assume that it does. I also assume that it does not include any exhibition or spring training games.

But here comes my real question.

Can the single-season home run record include postseason home runs?

I believe Babe got his 60 in regular season (154 games), Marris got his 61 in regular season (162 games), and that McGwire and Bonds got their records in the regular season also.

But suppose someone tied Bonds at 73 on the last day of the season and then continued on to the playoffs and World Series to get several more. Would that player be considered the single-season home run king or would he remain tied with Bonds in the record books? Or would he get credit for first place but then get an asterisk beside his name indicating that some HRs came in the postseason?

382 HR's, 1,451 RBI's and .298 BA. Pretty darn good numbers, dominating. AL MVP 1978, 8 time all-star.

3,701 K's and 3.31 ERA. I'm only 34, so I really don't remember much of his career, as his glory days were in the 70's and 80's, but 287 wins seems a lot to not be in the Hall of Fame. Will he ever get in?

The oldest ball player today playing has been the oldest to hit a homerun in a game but hes far from the oldest to play. I no Charle Hugh played intill fifty in the seventies.

Alright we have a medicore manager at best and a GM that is suceeded because of young talent that was there before he came to L.A (Russell Martin, James Loney, Matt Kemp, ext) But now that we are starting to slip away in the race and we are missing two starters (Our ace Jason Schmidt and Randy Wolf) we just need a pitching rental and a veteran presence on the club. I dunno I think signing Boomer makes perfect sense.
