Wow ... that's an impressively quick jump off the bandwagon.

Pitchers on bad teams have trouble winning the Cy Young. It's probably not fair, but voters often look at the wins and ERA columns. Bedard is a heck of a pitcher and a good building block for the Orioles' future.

He certainly shut down the Sox up to this point 7 innings! looking at 13-4 but there are other pitchers with 13 or 14 wins in the AL. Oriles are crappy but not that terrible they are the only team to have scored a run in every game! Offense keeps you in games. Ray getting hurt really hurt the team and no other starters to speak of.

Bedard will contend for Cy Young let the season play out! Remember "King" Felix Hernandez of Seattle 1 hit the RedSox in his start at Fenway you don't win a Cy Young in one game!

That's why he's gone under the radar. If he was on a team that was contending, everyone would be talking about him. I'm glad some people can recognize him, because he really deserves hit. Excellent ERA (especially in the AL), leading the league in strikeouts, etc...........Where has he been all my life?

bedard is nothing compared to: sabathia, beckett, verlander, santana, lackey, escobar, and haren. his chances are very slim to win the AL cy young. in my mind he has no chance.

I would vote for Reggie Willits (Angels).

Boston's Pedroia could take it also.
