My list is a little Dodger and Angel heavy, but I'm a SoCal boy.
Eckstein is awesome to watch. Izturis is great with the glove. Furcal might have the best arm of any SS. And Alfredo griffin was quite the character back in the day.

I would have to say one of the most exciting shortstops to ever play the game defensively was Ozzie Smith. He was absolutely amazing with his glove. Plus anyone that comes on to the field doing a back flip gets some bonus points!
