I found a baseball in my attic that was signed by the Atlanta Braves. I can't read all of the signatures, so I don't know exactly which players signed it. Also, it looks as if the signatures were stamped on the ball. The ball itself has the word "COLLECTORS" written on it twice.

First read this article (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/baseball/mlb/05/24/hancock.lawsuit.ap/index.html?cnn=yes)

I'm sorry, you son is dead Mr. Hancock, but suing everyone else for his irresponsibility is not going to bring him back. And in the end it makes you look like a greedy a**hole.

In my opinion the NFL has the best system for this. Any team can be competitive at any time given proper management. Baseball is being ruined by big market teams and salary inflations. In ten years, without anything being done, the sport will be ridiculous.
Discuss?

Out of these players on the downside of their career who do you think will be First Ballot HOFers.
Tom Glavine, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, John Smoltz, Mariano Rivera, Roger Clemens, Frank Thomas, Julio Franco, etc. Feel free to add your own players as you wish.

My accuracy has greatly improved but I still have trouble getting the ball all the way back to first base from the outfield.

You got pitchers that don't complete games. Back in the day you completed what you started, no matter how many innings the game went.

In the AL and the minors, pitchers don't even come to bat.

You have batters that look like halfway football players with all the body armor on and batting gloves.

Pitchers can't brushback batters anymore without getting a warning.

And if a player doesn't get paid a few extra MILLION dollars that he thinks he deserves, he can just go to another team. How can you fall in love with a player or even a team?? They'll just turn their back on you.

No wonder the great game of baseball isn't considered the national pasttime anymore, it's so diluted and watered-down.

I which I would've grown up when nothing else was important as baseball, when ballplayers were ballplayers.

Anyone else agree?

I am going to have to go with Derek Jeter and Jose Reyes. Jose Reyes makes few errors, is a good hitter and is leading the MLB in stolen bases.

Derek Jeter is a legend in New York and broke a hitting record last night. He has been the life of the yankees for a very long time.
