I have heard of rumors that the Angels were seeking Giambi in a deal that may help their aging pitching staff. No he should not be punished because the rules were not in effect but I am glad he did come clean and the rest should do so regardless of the consequences for the integrity of the game which needs a booster shot .

Technically, Giambi never truly admitted to doing steriods, information has leaked out, however, that he had tested positive for amphetamines. While amphetamines are in fact against the leauges drug policy, they do not warrant a suspension. Testing positive for amphetamines also does not require that the results be made public, (unlike some other types of steriods). The second positive test for steriods does warrant a suspension and public announcement. So for now I say the MLB do nothing until he tests positive again.

MLB should ask all players to come clean. Do not give them a ban or suspension, just let them come clean, get it out of the past, and move on. I dont think anything should happen to Giambi, he is just being honest which is what should happen. The rules are now set in MLB (not like in the past), so if it happens now, then the suspensions should happen.

Really? He didn't say what he had used. As for the rest of what he said, he's absolutely right. Now it's up to MLB to do something about the overall problem.

Doing something about Giambi would be retaliation for his statements unless they look at and act on the whole picture.

It sounds as thoug GIambi is ready to fall on his sword, just as long as it means cleaning up the whole of this mess. It's about time someone did so.

NOTHING!!! why u ask? well when he basically admitted to it a couple years ago MLB did absolutely nothing so why should they do it now. Neither did the Yankees. So if they do get out of his contract now, why didn't they do it back then?

As the Yankees sow, so must they reap. Yankees and all of baseball turned a blind eye to this when the rest of the world knew full and well what was going on.

The Yankees do not have the morals to do such a thing. They need his bat and will not let steroids get in the way.

Regardless of whatever else might happen to him, Giambi would do well to wear a piece of pinstriped duct tape over his mouth at all waking times, except meals.

Let him come clean without punishment as an example for others to follow. They are professionals and they need to act like it. The rules are in place to take care of future violaters.
