AL East- Red Sox: too much ground for the Yankees to make up, Boston has one of the best 5 men rotations in all of baseball, with a better than average lineup and bullpen.
AL Central-Tigers: They've stayed with other 3 powers in this division even with injury problems. Once healthy they can take off, I think as good of an all-around team as there is. Cleveland doesn't have the pitching to hang with um, Chicago is too insconsistent, and the Twins wil have a hard time getting any starter but Santana going.
AL West- A's: very close, Oakland and LA basically have similar strengths and weaknesses, both play great defense and have terrific pitching both from rotation and bullpen. Neither team has much of a lineup, so it may come down to the trading deadline, but I predict another Oakland second half surge.
NL East- Mets: One of the best lineups, and good depth, their bench players would be starting almost anywhere else. Braves are good and will stay with them but I see them getting the wild card because a lack of starting pitching beyond Smoltz.
NL Central- Brewers: Its there year, everyone picked them for a surprise team, and they showing why. They have a good rotation and a shut-down bottom half of the bullpen. They do enough hitting to get by though I think the hot starts will cool off, Cards have too much to deal with pressure wise- struggling team defending world series and loss of Hancock, Cubs spent too much on not deserving talent, pirates not quiet out of the bottom yet, astros can't hit and dont have the pitching they usually do, reds are opposite, dont have pitching or consistency.
NL West- Padres: Great rotation, Peavy will finally win Cy Young if he keeps up this pace, lineup is a little better, with the same great bullpen and good defense. Dodgers just dont consistently play the way they should be, the Giants can't hit, rockies cant pitch, arizona doesnt have experience to make a run.

AL East-RED SOX
AL Central-TIGERS
AL West-ANGELS
NL East-METS
NL Central-BREWERS
NL West-DODGERS
The Tigers retained all key players from last year, and look to make a good run again. The Brewers are loaded with young pitching and young talent. Other than that I agree with you.

I am a Cards fan but I don't think they have it this year.
There is always a surprise team in the playoffs so give it to Milwaukee. They finally have a good team and it's because they held onto Ben Sheets all these years.
I can buy the Angels too but Oakland isn't going to make it easy for them. I think that it will come down to the last 2 weeks of the season to decide the ALWest.
Other than that, I agree with all of your other picks.
GO CARDS!!!

i dunno. . . i don't really pay attention to most other divisions except the NL Central. . . i still watch them but i don't really care about them. . . . and overall i'd have to say Cards for the NL Central. . . overall they are a model team. They don't give up. . . not many fights break out. . . . and they can get through any downfall they have pretty much.
