The Dodgers came from Brooklyn, New York. They moved into Ebbetts Field in 1913 after starting out at Washington Park, which was a small park with wooden grandstands. Owner Walter O'Malley moved the team to Los Angeles in 1957 when unable to get a new stadium deal in Brooklyn.
