JV baseball team has just started for me, and we have a new coach in town. My whole team and I know that i'm a big part of there team. But, the new coach is threatning to move me back under junior varsity because I can't throw a fastball!!

Here are my last years stats...

7-1 (32-3 when we play skirmish together)
3-1 In State Finals
67 S/O, No HR allowed.
ERA - 1.42
Opp Average - 2.04
Best Pitch Speed - 68 MPH
Best Pitch - Slider or 12-4 Curve Ball
Weakness - Lack Fastball compacity.
1/1 Save Opportunities

Aren't these good enough for that god damn coach to keep me? I really don't need to use my fastball do I? Would you keep me? I brought my team to State Finals... then eventually lost.

I'm the heart and sould of my team!!! Well... atleast a fourth of it.

They will win the AL East. There bullpen is the best in the league, They have the best shortstop in the game(Tejada), the best 2nd baseman(Roberts) in the game, a top 3 third baseman(Mora)and a top 3 catcher(Hernandez). Huff has great power potential and Markakis is the second coming of Babe Ruth while Corey Paterson can steal 50 bases with his eyes closed, the bench is deep with payton who would normally be a starter and Gibbons who would be the everyday DH. Cabrera has the nastiest stuff in the league and if he can get things right in his head, he'd be on the same level as Johan Santana, Bedard is also coming into his own, Benson is good for 10-15 wins, Loewen has a great curveball, wright is solid. They really have no weaknesses.

Final AL East Standings for 2007

1. Baltimore Orioles
2. New York Yankees
3. Boston Red Sox
4. Tampa Bay Tarpoons
5. Toronto Blue Jays

I can think of Bret Boone, Shawn Green, and Luis Gonzalez (by looking at their career stats and seeing a sudden spike in homeruns and slugging% followed by a sudden drop last 3 to 4 years). Do you agree?

I often practice alone. I have tryouts tomorrow and i need to know if there are any good practice drills i can do by myself. I have been doing soft toss and hitting the balls into a fence. Anything else? (anything good for hitting and feilding)

Also, what do most high school coaches look for in tryouts?

I heard that before you hit line up your knuckles then when you make contact with the ball you twist them or "switch them". does this help?

I am thinking the Padres with starters Jake Peavy, Greg Maddux, Chris Young, David Wells, and Clay Hensley. Then relievers Cla Meredith and Trever Hoffman.
