They will make the playoffs but it is hard to say if they will do any better. Their pitching is great but they need a healthy lineup that will produce runs. They don't have much pop in the lineup and their most talented bats are pretty brittle. Nomar could get hurt running out of the batter's box and Jeff Kent is getting older and producing less. Losing J.D. Drew's power and Julio Lugo contact/speed combo in their lineup hurts them. They really could use a big bat that will be consistent. They will need to make a deal before the trade deadline to really take that next step.

The Dodgers were knocked out in the first round of playoffs last year. To "do any better" they would have to make the playoffs and get past the first round.

Will they make the playoffs this year? Probably. Will they get past the first round? Who knows? Depends on who they face.

I think they will. They have a really good rotation and talented players. I can't wait to see them this coming season!
