1. Eric Chavez- When healthy he is our best hitter. He's a gold glove defender, and noone has the heart he does to play hurt like he did all of last year.
2. Danny Haren- The guy is a stud and only getting better. Not to mention he's our best pitcher b/c we know harden can't stay healthy.
3. Nick Swisher- Can play multiple positions with his first base play being gold glove worthy, not to mention hes our biggest power threat.
4. Justin Duchscherer- Great stuff. Has the ability to pitch in any spot from starter, to setup, to closer.
5.Joe Blanton- Doesn't have the best stuff but he is a winner. He was tied for the lead in wins for the A's, and he usually can keep you in the game.
Close runner ups:
-Harden and Crosby- to unhealthy
-Piazza- I want to see what he does first
-Street- Good but I give Duchscherer the heads up b/c he can do more

But maybe that's just personal preferrence... Did you mean current players? Can I still leave Rickey on the list? He'd still like to play, and he's not THAT much older than Frank Thomas.
Fine. Harden, Swisher, Haren, Chavez, and Bradley. Though mainly Bradley just because makes for such hilarious stories. Well, and some timely hits.

It's too hard to say my Top 5 bcuz of Hitters and Pitchers are to totally different things

Street - Straight up stud!!! He came from Texas( go horns) and met the hype.
Chavez - Great fielder but struggling at the plate a little bit.
Crosby - Awesome when he is healthy and not bad at SS.
Harden - Just filthy stuff.
Swisher - Amazing power
