now that the yankees are out of the post season what will happen to the team. Do they need more arms or do they just need to dump a-rod? I would have bet my children that the yanks would win it all this year, what in the world happened to them?

NEW YORK -- Joe Torre's days as the manager of the Yankees appear to be numbered, according to a report in Sunday's Daily News.
The front-page headline of one edition of the newspaper proclaims "Outta Here" with a photo of Torre, whose Yankees were eliminated in the Division Series on Saturday by the Tigers in Detroit.

The newspaper reports that the 66-year-old Torre is expected to be dismissed after the Yankees' latest playoff disaster, with former Yankees player and manager Lou Piniella his likely replacement.

I don't get it. I am a fan of both even when they are losing so why should that be a problem. What now I am not a real fan only because I like the other NY team too?!

They second guess the coaches and the players. I sure appreciate the mute button. Did this start with Cosell? Why do they not just call the game?

Whenever the Yankees win or makes a great trade it is posted on their front page. Now that they are eliminated, I had to go deep into sports to read about it.

I've been looking at alot of questions on here and not many of you seem to be giving the Tigers the credit for winning against the Yankees. I understand it's hard to think of the Detroit Tigers as a good baseball team, but lets face it. They have played better than any team for most of this season. They were only looking average towards the end but after this series it looks like they are back to their early season ways. Is it so much to ask that instead of saying that the Yankees need new management and that they played like crap, that we can simply look at the truth; the Tigers are a great baseball team.

In the MLB, if a player hits a home run in an AIl-Star game, does it count to their career home runs??

What about if they hit one during the pre-season??? Both home runs will be during exhibitions games. So will it count???

I'm a huge Yankee fan. Always have been, always will. I know a lot of Met fans who absolutely despise the Yankees. Seeing the Yankees lose today was very upsetting and aggravating. But my father and I were watching the Met game tonight. Since the Yankees are out, now we're rooting for the Mets. If not one NY team, at least the other, right? Even if they aren't our favorites.

Do Met fans feel similarly? Like if you watch a Yankee game, do you root for the Yankees to win (providing they aren't playing the Mets), since they're still a New York team? I know every fan is different, but I'm just trying to get a general idea.
