Every single player except for Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada, who both hit .500 in 16 and 14 at-bats. Everyone else sucked, it was always 0-4s or 0-5s.

If they don't trade ******, they will never win another World Series, he's like a cancer on that team.

I think its the culture in NY and the owner to be honest.

If winning the world series is all that matters, and its been made clear it is, then what is the difference between a ALDS game, and a regular game? nothing, because you don't win a world series in either.

If the yankees won this series, and the ALCS, but lost the world series, they would be toast, and that would be a great achievement.

How as a Yankee player do you get yourself up for a do or die game, when you get no reward for your efforts, and you don't care, because from day one of your yankee life, its only the world series that matters, and that mentalily has been drilled into you by your coaches, owner, management, fans and all media you deal with.

Think back over recent years, the Yankees never raise their performance on playoffs, while the World Series teams do (W/Sox 11-1?), Derek Lowe winning all the clinching games, Josh Beckett in yankee stadium, yea that Marlins team was filled with big time stars..

i think of its tremendously obvious that once any team loses it isn't any one persons fault, yet actually the completed communities fault...hense what a "team" is. extra particularly nevertheless i've got self belief Torre tousled in a pair of techniques. First, he could have had Wang pitch in recreation 4 with at some point much less relax than customary and attempt to stress a recreation 5. this could deliver it back to ny and could have extra of a psychological result on Detroit. 2nd, Shef formerly each and every little thing replaced into moronic. perhaps if he had extra time there, yet that replaced into an extremely undesirable pass. With all that suggested, if gamers do no longer execute then theres no longer something a supervisor can do appropriate or incorrect. P.S. you may provide Detroit credit. They flat out performed solid baseball... much extra suitable than ny.

The superior play by the Detroit Tigers is what's to blame. Yankees lose and everyone wants to have a major "shakedown" to include firing one of the best managers in the game and trading off thier best players.

It's no wonder everyone outside of the greater NY area wanted the Yankees to lose, you're acting like spoiled little babies.

You know, these 5 game series really put the favorite behind the 8-ball. I'm not sayin Yanks would have won in 7, but anyone who thinks that the Tigers are the better team, over say, 25 games, is just a homer. Tigers were the better team over THESE 4 games. That is all. Unfortunately, that's all that matters.

The Yankee players themselves, of course!!!!!!!!

Who else would you blame? George? He only sits up in the stands counting his money.
Joe Torre sits in the dugout........

Put blame where blame is due!!

Steinbrenner. Too many over inflated egos on one team.
