Excuse me If I dont see where this has actually happened.

Will it happen, maybe.
Should it? No.

As much as I dislike the yankees I do have the utmost respect for Joe Torre. He has done a lot for baseball in his career.

Torre was not the problem, pitching was the problem. Lets (All of us Yankee fans) pray that Big George will let his staff find the proper pitching and not interfere with things personally. And as a Yankee fan, I am dissapointed that we lost, but Detroit played a solid series, can't knock that at all!! So excuse me while I take the subway to become a Mets Fan for the rest of the season :-)

No.
Its not his fault his team couldn't hit the ball in the playoffs this year.
They were calling this Yankee team one of the best hitting lineups of all time? I can't see that at all. Not even remotely close in fact.
I think the White Sox and the Red Sox had just as good if not a better lineup this year.
Torre should keep his job, but he might be ready to retire. The Yankees are going to make a lot of changes, especially with their pitching, Randy Johnson is getting old.

Should he be fired...probably not.
Will he be fired...probably.

I'm a Tigers fan and just for the record this was not a huge upset. I don't understand why everybody thought the Yankees were going to walk all over the Tigers, it makes no sense.

The Tigers were the best team in baseball for most of the season, yes they stumbled at the end of the season but the team you seen in this series is the team we as Tigers fans seen all year.

HELL NO

Without him say goodbye to the best team in baseball.
And then nobody has anyone to be jelous of.
I'm still crying that they lost though, but Torre is not to blame,
Detroit just outplayed them.

why? for leading the team to the playoffs again, or would it be for the 9 consecutive division titles or however many consecuctive playoff appearances?

IT IS NOT A NEW YORKERS BIRTHRIGHT TO HAVE THE YANKEES WIN THE WORLD SERIES

Bottom line...he's not the player. Got a few more years in his contract, but may be thinking to retire. I like him, but sometimes wish he was more aggressive.
