They second guess the coaches and the players. I sure appreciate the mute button. Did this start with Cosell? Why do they not just call the game?

Finally a good question! You're right sports announcers are annoying. They can't just call the game. They have to give their opinions and tell their little stories. I can't stand it!

First Some are some aren't if you are watching a game that is National Televised Then Hell Yes It seems like they favor One Team But If your watch a game locally then Some Are Bad some aren't I don't mind hearing them Complain about certain thing because they have watch most of there games and they know the team just as much as the fans do

Exactly!
ESPN's Joe Morgan and John MIller should rot in hell !
They always put up graphics of stuff nobody but them cares about and forget about the play-by-play of the actual game being played!
And when they get around to actually announcing scores or innings or anything pertinent to the game, they misspeak and have to correct themselves a few seconds later.
Just pay attention, idiots!
Enough with the history lessons!

I think it's because the attention span of the average American is getting shorter and shorter, and they need constant aural stimulation.

I always enjoyed listening to Vin Scully call a Dodger game. He would know when to give information and when to be quiet.

He was the first to let the crowd noise be played rather than talking when a home run was hit.

Your call is Rebecca - rilly? A behavioral expert as according to your contemporary answer? The word 'well-being care expert Heal Thyself 'is composed of recommendations! playstation maximum american commentators/newscasters get on my nerves whether or not they be male or woman (different than Anderson Cooper who's dreamy). Anderson Cooper is a shrink above something using fact he's gay and gay adult males are extra valuable at each and every thing. *trevor geese* television is so crap often that I have been given rid of my television in January and have not ignored it. NEO: Oh confident he's - genuinely one hundred% genuine and he lives together with his boyfriend in Chelsea, NYC. EDIT: I only had a cynical theory - maximum visitors are male - for this reason the blonde presenter? scores.

I hear what you are saving. Sometimes the mute button can be a lifesaver. But what I really hate is when they are rambling on about something they did the night before when something exciting is happening in the game....I have yelled at the TV before. lol

I found the best way to combat that problem is having the tv on mute, and listen to your radio guys.

Dan Dickerson calls a great Tigers game!
