I wonder if he ever have thought his death would have caused sooooo many safety changes in racing? From the man who fought for the restrictor plates to come off and basically said if people didn't want to drive fast, they didn't have to. Can you imagine him wearing the HANS Device? What would his thought on the COT be?

Considering the need to break hard off the straightaways and accellerate hard at the top of the tight turns at Martinsville, do traditional road specialists have somewhat of an advantage there? Jeff Gordon seems to do well at Martinsville leading me to this question and I wonder if Juan Pablo Montoya might find a certain measure of sucess there as well.

I haven't followed NASCAR since the early 90's and I know at that time the cylinder heads and blocks had to be available over the counter to the General public. I work at a Toyota Dealership at the Parts Counter and cannot find any info on the heads Toyota uses. In fact I can't find any info at all on Toyota's NASCAR V8.
If you go to Ford Motorsports you can find and buy the Heads and Block used for NASCAR, Same with GM and MOPAR. How and why is Toyota getting away without selling these to the general public? Has Nascar changed that rule?
No longer a NASCAR fan, Consider NASCAR the WWF of Motorsports.

we know that just about all sports have someone gay in them.i mean really gay, like coming out of the closet gay.senators, congressmen, judges, and so forth.
we all get on here and bash other drivers we dont like and call them "gay".
now my question is,has there ever been a driver, crewchief, crew member, owner,or whatever in nascar ever come out of the closet and admit to being gay?

My husband is a NASCAR ADDICT. I don't know ANYTHING about it, and I've tried to sit down and watch races with him to get a better understanding of it, but he gets so mad when I ask questions. We don't have anything in common so I thought (I love cars) this would be the one thing we could do together. He goes to four races a year and refuses to let me go with him because I don't know anything about it? How can I learn if he won't help me?

I seen the car this weekend in Bristol. It is pretty ugly, lol. I am just curious about what others think about it and what benefits it is supposed to provide.
