I'm really cheering him on. Martin retiring soon will pretty much kill what Nascar was. He's a dying breed which is what Nascar needs...not punks like Jeff Gordon, Stewart or Biffle.

The days of Earnhardt, Martin, Rusty Wallace, and Darrell Waltrip were IMO the best days of Nascar....now it's just not as fun anymore.

Yes, I think Martin would be in the chase at the end of the year if he had decided to run the full schedule. He probably would've come out of Bristol with the points lead but I don't think that it would have been by much. He would've probably finished about 9th at Bristol. Mark Martin is not racing at Martinsville but he will be back to race at Texas.

He will not be in Martinsville. His next race is Texas. He may still be in the Chase come the end of the season.

Won't see Mark again until Texas.

Mark CANNOT contend for the chase, even if he is among the top 12.

The 01 team can go after the owners championship, but Nascar will not allow Mark for the chase.

NO HE WILL NOT BE IN MARTINSVILLE
HE WILL BE IN TEXAS NEXT WEEK
YES I THINK HE WOULD BE IN THE CHASE
POINT LEADER ...WHO KNOWS...HE WAS ONLY 8 POINTS AHEAD OF JEFF GORDON IN GA.
I THINK IT WAS 30 AND UNDER TO THE TOP 3 IT WAS TO CLOSE TO CALL
BUT MARK MARTIN IS A GREAT DRIVER AND HE HAD A CHANCE

If he had decided to race the full year the answer is yes.But his choice was to run part time and help with the developmental team.
