NASCAR

I am 28 and have been a car chick since i was three, i worked on cars for many years and have a associates degree but had to give it up due to money issues. I always wanted to be a race car driver since i was in my early teens but i have never had the money to get started, there are always other bills to be paid first. Is there any way to get into nascar/stock style racing while not spending a fortune? I am very dedicated to everything i do and never mind starting at the bottom for what i want, I just dont know where to find the bottom! thanks everyone!

My hats of to nascar for finally ruining the best track on the schedule with their stupid new car. The races here use to be exciting as alot of bumping and banging went on and tempers flew. But nascar has pretty much done away with all competion and I for one am thinking this will be the last year I follow it. I was planning on attending some a race next year but will save my money for a cruise instead.
Thank You Kyle Busch for saying he hated racing his car and thought it was junk after winning. I thought that Mike Helton and his butt buddys needed to hear the truth.

Does Gordon take more poles now or was he taking more poles back when he and Brooke were together? Seems like here lately with the exception of this weekend he hasn't been taking may poles? whats up with that?

I thought driver who won the pole spot in the NASCAR Nextel Cup races was awarded 5 points for that. It doesn't appear that is happening this year. Am I just imagining things????

who cares about his nationality. all of us originated eons ago from some other country. the u.s. is not that old. he is a championship calibur driver. at least, he is not just a pretty boy, like what the sponsers want. give him time.

Man! Tony Stewart--and then Denny Hamlin--were trying so hard to win. That lead many laps, and really showed their skill and passion to win. But they both suffered today, and it's really a shame. And worst of all, a Hendrick car won (Kyle Busch)! Yuck. Who thinks Gibbs will do better next week? Tony does have a good record there.

What do you think of the New Car of tomorrow debuted today at Bristol. I am not a fan of that wing on the back, but is it safer, that's the main question. It is supposed to be good for competition even on restrictor plate tracks.

How does the championship go as far as the scenario here. Since Mark is sharing a ride if it comes down to it (hypothetically) who would the championship go (driver wise) to if the 01 car is the Cup winner. Just wondering as I am an avid NASCAR fan and was asked this by a friend but had never really given it thought since the teams that share rides are never a threat. Serious replies only.
