I aint sure where this idea came from, but it looks like nextel had a hand in it! If this is some attempt to draw more fans, its pathetic! Give us our stock cars back! This is STOCK CAR racing! It aint formula 1!

I hate the new cars. In fact for the very first time since i was 7 years old i didnt watch the whole race. i didnt like the racing and i didnt like how the cars look. Did any one see how DJ car just fall apart when he hit the wall. The old car wouldnt have bad damaged that bad. I dont know what Nascar is trying to do here but there not making there fans happy. I"m all for making the cars safe but lose the wing and the new noise and the cars wont look that bad. I hope that the drivers and teams complain and complain about the new cars.I listened to this nascar show on the raidor and Kahne and he said that his team kept making changings but the car was never getting any better and that its almost like northing u do to the car helps it.

It looks like the Nextel management teamed up with the fast and the furious creators on this one....a sad day in stock car history.

Change is never easy! Listen to the teams! They are so lov'n the new car! They say it brings back a level of sanity! The warped and scewed bodies on top of trick frames with engine "Frakenstiens" have been given a 'long rest'. The driver now has a day in the sun with a grasp of true grit!

I think it looks more like a Slot Car than a Stock Car. I think that NASCAR should change the body and BAN the use of Windtunnels for all teams. Only NASCAR should be able to use it for safty testing.
SAD,SAD DAY

I couldn't agree with you more. The cars look stupid, it doesn't feel like stock car anymore. I lost a lot of respect for the sport today. I like how the new cars fly apart with a little tap. I hope they come to their senses and get rid of those stupid things.

I have t agree with You, there. that wing and, the front air dam, have to go. I havent seen that many struts, since I changed out the ones on the ol' ladies VOLVO station wagon.
the front end, reminds Me of an old girlfriend, who had braces.

Next we will see spinner rims. Cars won't even have to race since it will look like they are going really fast without moving.

well I'm not sure how i feel. it seems cool looking, but, dw did point out a lot of probs with it. like that front section that sticks out. i betcha that was cutting down a lot of those tires. on short tracks, the driver can use it to there advantage.

DW drove one yesterday and related it to driving the stock cars from the 80's and early 90's.
