No NASCAR dos not pay for flyovers. It dose have to be planned months to a year in advance. Requistions have to be filed, and the proper channels have to be gone through. The planes that flyover end up doing this on a planned manuever day.

No, The flyovers are a public relation thing for the military. They are used as training flights for the crews, so it is not just a wasteful expense. It is a very much anticipated event at every race and as a NASCAR fan, we love it.

i dont know, but check out this link............pretty interesting on how much money the military spends on nascar.

i will work on the answer to ur question,i am curious now that u ask that

i have read a few articles about the military's involvement in nascar and it seems that the military pays for it,the flyovers, as part of sponsorship and recruiting tactics.

you know that if the military is paying the bill, that would mean that it is coming from our tax money.(that is fine in my book)

No they don't. I work in a Navy helicopter squadron and you would not believe how many somewhat useless or training flights the pilots go on day to day around the area just wasting jet fuel. That is, when they are not out on a ship. My guess is that fighter jet squadrons not out at sea our the same way, and unless they are deployed somewhere the Air Force has to be the same. So if your wondering if our tax dollars go towards those flyovers, the answer is yes, and they go towards many other flights that you don't even know about.

Squadrons are encouraged to keep up so many mishap-free flight hours. Trust me though, its cheaper than just sending out a bunch of green rookie pilots in a war somewhere.

The flyovers are provided free of charge to NASCAR directly.

But as a NASCAR fan, I happily chip in a part of my taxes to pay for the flyovers.

Surely, if you believe that the military is a waste of money, I heartily disagree. It is one of the very few things that the Constitution demands the Federal government to do.

The flights are training missions and you can be sure that along the flight path the pilots are using weapons systems by targeting aircraft and ground targets, moving and static, doing everything necessary, right up to but not including weapon release.

It helps the pilots stay proficient in all aspects of military flying: fuel management, time management-so the flights can arrive over target at the designated time, weapons systems management, comm systems, air-refueling if, as most are, long distance flights, formation flying, take-offs and landings.

It is also a recruiting tool, as is the military sponsorships of teams and it is the most effective advertising they can do.

I know many have heard of the Pentagon buying 800 dollar hammers and 1000 dollar toilet seats, but you know, those hammers and toilet seats are actually B1 Bombers and F-117 Stealth Aircraft.

The Pentagon is required by Congress to account for all spending and if you want to keep a military secret, you can't put on the ledger, 500 billion for super secret black-ops. Congress would demand to know what the secret is and at that point, the secret would surely be compromised. Congress itself is directly responsible for 100 percent of wasteful government spending.

Now, as the adage says, "If you can read this, thank your teacher. If you can read it in English, thank the US military!"

If it were left to Congress entirely, none of us would be able to read in any language as for over 100 years they have been pawns in the socialist agenda as expressed in these 2 quotes.

"Independent self-reliant people would be a counterproductive anachronism in the collective society of the future where people will be defined by their associations." 1896 John Dewey, educational philosopher, proponent of modern public schools.

"The children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society that is coming, where everyone would be interdependent." 1899

Thankfully, many Americans take pride in being counterproductive anachronisms to socialism.

The military uses the flyovers as part of their training..This includes ground personel, logistics personel,as well as the pilots.
As for who pays this is classified as public relations.
