The title of the article is about Martin and Gordon, but about midway down the page it talks about RCR letting his grandson use the number 3.

I don't like it at all. The only person allowed to use that number in my opinion should be another Earndhardt.

Having grown up in Rockingham nc, racing has been a part of our life style. This chase system and lucky dog has not made racing better! You don,t give rewards for failure!

How do you prepare for watching NASCAR from the comfort of your home? What kind of food? What's your choice of beverage? If it's beer, what brand? If it's a mixed drink, what kind? Finger food, fried chicken, big spread? Do you invite other NASCAR fans over to watch the race with? Is it a big event, or do you watch in the back room where you won't be interrupted? For those with family, do they watch also?
Tell me what your typical raceday routine is.

well my longtime love affair with nascar will certainly wane. but i digress. what i really wanna know is will the J&J love affair end or will it continue to blossom into the future? the headline in Yahoo Sports news reads 'Title Contenders Maintain Friendship'. Sounds like some Days of Our Lives drama between two people remaining lovers through all the turmoil. Such a heart warming article. Sickening! I guess its someones job to create drama and love stories though. thank god its almost over. Its been like watching an episode of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood when we should be watching someone getting tire marks put on their car. Dont get me wrong, Mr. Rogers rocked back in the day but im not tuned in to watch hand puppets and Mr. McFeely (strange name for a Postal dude on a kids show huh??). Anyway i guess i will be glad when the J&J love affair is over. This doesnt mean my love affair with Gloria is over though does it baby? I cant live without your big red nose!

Jeff Gordon would have won going away under the old format...is a playoff in racing really necessary when for years the person who was most consistant throughout the schedule was rewarded with the championship?

I've been a Nascar fan for a few years, been to a few races, and watch most tv broadcasts. All the talk I ever hear is about who has the best car, which team has the best set-up, which team has the track figured out. Like the races that start during the day and end at night, they talk about who will keep up with the changing track conditions the best. It seems like it doesn't matter who the driver is, as long as his team has the best car. I get the feeling that if you put Kyle Petty in the #48, he would be racing for the championship this weekend. So what is more important, the driver, or the team with the best car set-up?

I remember seeing an ASA race on tv a bunch of years ago at a race track that had 5 turns or something unusual like that. I think the track was in Ohio if I remember right. Does anyone have an idea which track I'm thinking of and where it is?

Ray Paprota III was supposedly involved in an accident at Daytona where a track worker lost his life during a caution ( http://www.shortnews.com/start.cfm?id=36839 ). Ray was a paraplegic and drove cars with controls located near the steering wheel.

My question is were these normal races? Did he compete with drivers that were not paraplegic?

Also how long has or did he compete and was he competitive?

What kind of cars did they race and what speeds were reached? Any information would be appreciated.
