I know for a fact that Ryan Newman has a degree in Engineering at Purdue (I plan to be a student there next year, so I know these things. :P)
Not sure as to where Carl Edwards went, but seeing as he used to be a teacher, he must have some sort of college degree somewhere.

I was just reading a transcript from a Larry King interview on CNN with Jr and Jeff Gordon and in that interview Dale Jr. said he went to a small college and got a degree in "Automotives" and said he wanted to work at a car dealership as a mechanic.

Special K (the late Alan Kulwicki) was a Mechanical Engineer. Graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. But I guess most fans would not consider him a "modern day" driver.
