I remember seeing an ASA race on tv a bunch of years ago at a race track that had 5 turns or something unusual like that. I think the track was in Ohio if I remember right. Does anyone have an idea which track I'm thinking of and where it is?

I did quite a bit of searching on Chasin Racin, but couldn't find anything like you described, either.

I used to like to watch the ASA races on TNN.

edit - Hey Jay, was it a road course, or an oval???

Sorry I just don't remember a track here in Ohio like that. I am a race lover and followed most every series there is or was and have been to a bunch of tracks here in Ohio but not the one you are talking about. I know that was one thing about the ASA bunch they were not afraid to come to a local track at least once to put on a show. I used to go to Toledo every year for there race in the fall. There would always be a late model race in Sandusky and there would be a bunch of them there too. Went to Winchester once to see then too.
Nice to see someone else thinks about the series every once in awhile but sorry I can't help.

Old time Veteran Here!! This is what you very well could be talking about. Depends on how far back you are talking In the late 70-early 80s. I was a ASA Driver local not big time enough to go around the Circuit!!! I raced ASA Camaros at IRP Indianapolis Raceway Park in Cleremont Ind. just west of Indpls on 5/8 mile oval where the Craftsmen Trucks run the Kroger 200 at now. -------The front Grandstand on the oval had seatGrandstands running backward to the Dragstrip Right Lane where the NHRA has the Labor day meet. ALSO--ALSO this motorsports complex has a small road course inside the facility as well not 5 but 6 turns. The Big Time ASA drivers ran on it for a few of those Years 78-79-80? I never even tried to run our car on this course. I did However make some of the Bigger Paying races on the Oval against the ASA Circuit driver 2 times Qualified and raced in for a 29th and a 32nd starting Position. Rusty Wallace-Mark Martin-Ernie Irvan and Dick Trickle were in those races I saw those guys 2 times in those races--When the Green Flag dropped by the time I got to the Starting line I could look to my left and see them coming off of turn 2--The next time I saw them was about 12 laps later as they were Lapping Me!!!

I lived in the Mansfield,Ohio area for awhile and there was a track called Mid-Ohio thats just south on the city.I know there is a new track on the north side of town thats santioned by NASCAR as of a few years age. Other than that I haven`t heard of one like you want.
