Petty no way his wins don’t matter cause they are inflated and had no competition...Dale sr. was born poor and made it to racing...that don’t make him the greatest driver. His 7 championship either...let him try and win one of the new cup championship...Dale is lucky the 24 wasn’t racing in 86 as well cause then he would never had one championship. beside Jeff Gordon has past Dale in wins in some 300 less races...the 24 would be capturing his 6th title this year if they didn’t try this stupid chase thing.. he would have a 500 pt lead over second even with his 100 pt penalty this year....I know you old heads want to kiss Dale’s feet but please let the man rip...in 3rd place all time...the 24 is the tiger woods of Nascar...and has just as big of a heart as Dale and his brat of a son ever had....24 to the front got another pole today...i know I’m right and i doubt that the uneducated non enunciating Dale SR and JR fan can read this. The 24 could win in any of years past championship the old timers are the ones who couldn’t win today

I couldn't wait untill next year for this one and think the #1 will finish ahead of the #20 on Sunday. I'm sticking with DEI, even after all the chaos with the #8 and stuff. Besides even Truex is more consistent than Stewart these days.

...It seems Ricky Craven didn't mean Gordon was the best driver ever. He meant Dale Earnhardt was the best driver ever (hands down). Here is his statement:

..."Had my years in Nextel Cup been between 1986 and 1995, the choice would easily have been the late Dale Earnhardt. His run during those years was phenomenal".

okay jeff gorden one of the greatest driver in nascar today, even if you don't like him you have to give it up, now back about a year ago when jimmy johnson won the cup. Nascar change the rules when gorden had the lead then causeing him to loss the cup that year. now they also do it again this year. jeff gorden had the lead when the say all drivies have points on the amount of races they won, making jeff lose the lead again, but he was still able to regain it. now i am still confuse why nascar it doing this? forgive i if i miss anything.....

How is it possilbe that once again he gets away without a penalty for the tyres sanction? McLaren are fined 15,000 euro but nothing happens to Hamilton no matter what.

Also, How come McLaren used those tyres on Hamilton and not Alonso.

Is this proof that McLaren are giving Hamilton the edge over team mate Fernando?

so after reading a post about Tony possibly going to RCR, which was interesting, it prompted me to question whether we'll ever see Sr.'s car (#3) on the track again or will it be retired forever. If we DO see it run, who the heck is gonna drive that thing??? IMO only Jr. could drive that # and even then it would be iffy.

First they throw the win away in China, now they are chucking it away in Brazil! Can they get more idiotic?! Mclaren say they simply have ''made a mistake''. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! How many years have they been in F1 and they don't know the rules properly and for a crucial championship decider like this!? If Lewis gets punished and misses out on the title then if I was him I'd leave Mclaren and join Ferrari asap. Pathetic Ron, absolutely pathetic.

Thanks,

Many of you are saying that Tony Stewart should be loyal to Chevy. What about being loyal to the man who is responsible for helping him get two championships? I don't have an opinion one way or the other, as I'm not in his shoes. But I do know that I generally value relationships with people over relationships with inanimate objects.

I bet even if he has broken the tyre rules. nothing will happen because bernie won't let it .
rules are rules and if you break them you should pay.
this year is turning out to be a tainted season.one rule for one driver and different rules for every other driver.
