What I'd like know is if this happened before and what was the punishment for it then. I bet you its not the same as the one handed out to the drivers today. The FIA needs to write down what are the penalties for offences and then stick to it. What is the point of having rules if you make it up as you go along.

The right desicion was made. How can you justify a 10 place grid penalty in the race for a minor rule break which will have no bearing on the race whatsoever?
Mickyboy,If you are British, then the only thing disgusting is that you dont seem to be a Lewis Hamilton fan.EVERY british F1 fan should be cheering Lewis Hamilton to victory on Sunday. You wouldnt see any Brits cheering on South Africa in the Rugby and the same should apply for the Grand Prix

It was new rules this year, and button done the same and so did a couple of other drivers.
It doesn't matter what side of the fence you are really, because when Schumacher done these kind of things, the McLaren supporters are "why does he get away with so much" Now it is all happening to Lewis, the Ferrari are fans are responding the same way. Unless you passionately support BOTH, someone is always going to be unhappy or getting the other accused of something. All Politics, and i say just let them race. McLaren fans knew something would try and stop Lewis this weekend, he's got them all running scared

Maybe because he just been allowed to do during the whole season everything he wanted?? (just an idea, i don't know...)
Most likely, the rules for Sunday will change, only the pilot on the first position will be racing, only 1 lap (we really need to avoid him crashing), and since he did his parking test last race, he won't have to park, sorry to enter boxes, either.
If he doesn't win this way, Rum-Ron and maFIA had promised him to buy him an exactly replica of the cup.

Well, he didn't change his tyres, the team did and you're still asking us why you're surprised? If he got penalised and sent back a few spots, it would have been fun to watch him work his way up. But cheer up dude, the other two drivers that did similar things also got fined. It's their problem so why don't you just try not to care and watch the battles on track not off track.

He didn't escape punishment, he was fined for a very slight infraction. That was the appropriate punishment.
Just in case you were so blinded in your outrage about Hamilton not being punished. Button and Sato were also punished so no one got away with anything.
What did you want, to see him disqualified from the race totally? C'mon now all the Hamilton haters out there need to just take a chill pill and calm down. You will have plenty of time to moan and groan about him after the season is over.

What you and a lot of the press fail to mention is that Sato and Button did the same thing and got the same punishment, which throws a slightly different slant on it doesn`t it.
This is also an interesting article about the ex-champion

Since when did the drivers change their own tyres?
How can Hamilton be blamed for a team error?
The FIA has quite rightly imposed a penalty on all the teams who broke the rules. It's as simple as that really.
Please enlighten us, why is it disgusting that the right course of action was taken?

Another way of English evil scams VS Fernando Alonso however, judgment day will accept Fernando Alonso bc, evil drivers shall lose & suffer for trying to steal Alonso's goal.
Tires are from Korea.
We cheat.
We lose.
We smile.
We crash at China.
We ignore Alonso.
We lose Formula 1 GrandPrix 2007 Championship at Interlagos, Brazil.
