I mean come on people. Imagine for a moment that you have millions of dollars, would you choose Edmonton or any northern location to spend your winters? Thousands and thousands of Canadians spend their life working their buttz off so when they retire they can go and spend their winters down south. I don't understand why people take it as a slight against their region, I live in Canada and personally can't wait until I retire to spend my winters south. I can't wait until every March to go to the Carribean and get away from the cold and the snow. Usually I have to go to Vegas prior to that, just to keep me sane.
I know of alot of people do in fact love winter. They need medication. I mean, even if you participate in hockey/skiing/curling or whatever, winter still sucks and the majority will agree.
It's no mysyery that people don't like venturing out into -40 weather. Seems like coomon sense to me.

I don't think so. Think about this logically. They won every other year for 9 years, totaling 4 championships. Here is a look at each championship, and why they don't add up as a dynasty.

1999 was a lock out year and they didn't even have a full season. The Spus where simply the team that had a midseason streak that year, except midseason was really the playoffs in 1999. Look at most other teams that follow their pattern of a slow start and then a hot midseason, and few actually win a championship (just look at last year's Mavericks, who had a terrible start but ended up as the first seed in the playoffs). No one stood a chance against the Mavericks last year at midseason. They would have swept their way to a championship. Too bad for them the league was stable this year.

2003- The long gap for San Antonio between 1999 and 2003 was filled by a mini-dynasty of the LA Lakers. Kobe and Shaq dominated the rest of the league in the playoffs. The Spurs can't be a (cont.)

Just curious, because I'm personally an avid fan of this sport and I hate that it has to be named like that, "soccer"....did Americans name it like that to distinguish it from their American football?? or was it always named like that??

I'm asking this here because after all the sport was officially created in England....

My friends are telling me that he may be on a great run this year, and may even win his 1st Cup race and contend for the championship, but in a year or two he'll just fall off and be one of those drivers who won't be running up front anymore, won't be winning races, and possibly not even making a few races. I'm upset right now, because a couple friends of mine were telling me he's never going to go anywhere in NASCAR as a driver. In fact, they say their isn't many younger drivers today that will advance in their career, and Bowyer was one of them.

Can I get some opinions on this?
