I have a Mossberg 500a-(Shotgun)

I'd like to get some basic training for self-defense. I'm not sure which type of martial arts would be best for me, so perhaps others could provide a recomendation based on the following: I'm a family man (so I don't have as much free time as I did when I was younger to put into training, etc.); I'm in my mid 30's (so I'm not as athletic as I was when I was younger); I'm in reasonable shape (not overweight, I like to run, and occasionally lift weights); and I'm not looking to kick someone's butt, but just defend myself if I can't avoid a hostile situtation.
I'd prefer to avoid the wrestling on the ground types of martial arts. And I'm probably not the strongest guy in town, so I don't want to have to rely on strength either.

Would you rather play three years of college football then immediately go to the draft, or finish college risking injury and have a degree to fall back on? I personally do not see the benefit of leaving college early. This to me is laziness. After they all retire they end up fighting for analyst jobs because they have no other qualifications. What would you do?

I am tired of all this talk about chevy winning all these races and manufactures championships. Chevy has about 3 times as many cars in the race than ford, so of course they have better odds. All ford has is 5 roush, and 2 yates, and maybe a couple more. Chevy has 4 hendrick, 3 gibbs, 3 childress and the 2 DEI cars and many more. Chevy has 4 main teams and ford has one. I don't think chevy is that better, they just have better odds. I mean, a couple years ago, roush had all 5 cars in the chase. Ford had about 80 percent of there cars in the chase.
