I am tired of all this talk about chevy winning all these races and manufactures championships. Chevy has about 3 times as many cars in the race than ford, so of course they have better odds. All ford has is 5 roush, and 2 yates, and maybe a couple more. Chevy has 4 hendrick, 3 gibbs, 3 childress and the 2 DEI cars and many more. Chevy has 4 main teams and ford has one. I don't think chevy is that better, they just have better odds. I mean, a couple years ago, roush had all 5 cars in the chase. Ford had about 80 percent of there cars in the chase.

I agree with you. Let's break down the numbers for "any given race day."
(By car number)

Chevrolet: 01, 1, 4, 5, 07, 8, 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, 24, 25, 29, 31, 48, 66, 70, 78, 96 (21 total)

Dodge: 2, 9, 10, 12, 19, 34, 37, 40, 41, 42, 43, 45, 49 (13 total)

Ford: 6, 7, 16, 17, 21, 26, 38, 88, 99 (8 total)

Toyota: 00, 22, 36, 44, 55, 83, 84 (7 total)

those are the "full time" teams for 2007 provided that they qualify for the field, which of course only 43 can. Only Toyota has less teams than Ford and they are still in their infancy, with a pot of money to throw around. So yes, the Chevy teams do have better odds which sucks. I'll tell you one thing for sure, you'll never see all four Hendrick teams make the chase in the same year! GO ROUSH!!!!!!

Better odds? maybe, but it's the same team that keeps winning, Hendrick. The number of Chevy's on the track mean nothing when it's the same team that's dominating. Johnson has won three of the six races. Kyle Bush has one another. Thats 4 of the six races won by Hendrick.

Then you have Harvick in a Chevy, and Kenseth in a Ford.

Your right about the better odds. Ford has some really great drivers. The hendricks cars are just on a lucky streak. There's a lot of races until the chase starts. But if you notice the teams with more money to spend seem to have advantages.

i agree. Ford has only 1 team that wins races with Roush. Roush has to spend more money because ford doesnt give its team as much money as chevy does and chevy has way more teams then ford. The only reason there so many chevy teams is because chevy gives teams more money to race then ford does or it would be more even.

I agree! You could add the past records of the drivers.toyota 42 wins,1 champ.Ford 60 wins,1 champ.Dodge 66 wins,2 champs.Chevy 231 wins,7 champs. These arent exact numbers but they are near enuogh to show the difference in talent.Keep in mind these are not manufactures records. These drivers have driven for many makes.

but don't you think if Chevy wasn't good, people wouldn't be driving it?... It's a wonder why anybody switched to toyota this year... Ford/Chevy are the two powerhouses in nascar... dodge and toyota might win occasionally, but they'll never match up.

Well from the looks I'm still looking for cars that look like these "stock cars".If it were not for the decal with the name who would know which is which.
That's all I say about that.

i don't think that the car type has anything to do with it either. i myself think it has to do with the drivers more than what people say it does
