I have no tie to the Giants nor the Pirates, but I must say that over the years Barry Bonds has put up monster numbers. This season he has 26 home runs with only 357 at-bats! So if he is able to put up this kind of number at the age of 42, why couldn't he do that 5 years ago when he belted 73. See my point! Even before all the bulkanization of his body, Bonds was hitting 30-40+ homers each season. He also has walked more than any player in history. Can you imagine how many more homers he would have had if he didn't walk 2425 times? So he might have used something...he still has to hit the ball. Just because one bulks up doesn't mean one's coordination gets better. Just because one heals faster doesn't mean one will hit long balls on a regular basis. Even before all this steroid talk, Bonds had Hall of Fame numbers. It's too bad the media and many fans don't see the other side to his career numbers all because of one word: STEROIDS. In my book, Bonds is going to be a first ballot HOF
