I'm making a rail for snowboarding...?

Is there something i can put on it so that it does less damage to my board.

Rails and boxes are fun but this kind of riding will always be bad for your board. No board is really designed for rails and such. It is only a matter of time before you break a board if you ride rails a bunch. And keep in mind that no company will warranty a board broken on rails. If you have an older board, I'd use that for jibbing and keep your newer board for riding the mountain.
