so basically we were in chumash class (chumash is the study of the 5 books of the torah if you didn't know) and we were learning about Dinah and Prince Schechem. so basically it went like this:
So we learned that in the city schechem dinah one day got bored because she had no one to play with so she went out of the tent to go find some girls to be friends with and play with and the prince saw her and raped her

so my teacher (a woman) said: "shechem raped dinah because dinah left her tent and went outside" (this is exactly what she said no lie)

i mean dinah just went out to find GIRL FRIENDS because she was BORED...its totally blaming the girl for what the man did

i don't get it...what am i supposed to think about chabad now?
can someone explain this to me?
(i asked the teacher about it after she said it but she brushed off my question and wouldnt give me an answer and i've heard this explanation a few other times from chabad--NEVER from rabbis of other branches of judaism

birth control prevents eggs from being created, but what if you already have enough kids then birth control is still wrong? cause a woman cant have endless amounts of pregnancies. its risky for her health.

Do you believe that Muslims worship a moon god because of the crescent moon that has come to symbolize Islam? If so, why then didn't Muhammad (saws) and his followers make use of the crescent? Why did it take until the Ottoman empire before Muslims used the crescent as a religious symbol?

I know in the bible one of the signs is a red moon and I was owndering because in the ninth grade two years ago, We were at the homcoming futbol game and it was late and the moon was out and it was big and sort of red. Later i had red the bible and saw this and the day the harry potter book came out the 7th one this year-2007- we were getting out of the car to go into borders and the moon was humungo and red not bloddy red but redder that the normal color. As christians do you belive this is a sign?

I have a somewhat silly question about the of jesus. I have heard that the person jesus christ never existed. The person that most people, according to some, refer to as jesus christ was really named emanuel. About Me: I am 14 years old, 95.0 average, I play tennis, soccer, and i run track. Almost anyone that knows me (including adults) will say that I am smart, mature, and responsible.

I don't believe in God, even though my mom and dad are Christian. And I would prefer if you didn't give me answers with quotes from the bible, I'm not interested in becoming a Christian. I am Wiccan. And being a Wiccan has nothing to do with Satan. Satan is a Christian foe. It doesn't go with the Wiccan religion.

My question is: Do you think that I am to young to decide my religion? I mean, everybody should be able to live their life the way that they want to.

There are passages of it that is violent, and there has been very many times when Christians have done violent things.
So ask yourself do I really want to take a group of people in which by the way you are a minority and really tick them off?
In Europe those people are kind of laid back and let you burn up stuff and cather to your whims and say "don't do that they may get mad and tear stuff up"
In the USA violent crime is probably the worst in the world.
right up there with Iraq. The only difference is in Iraq your in the majority. So my question to you is if you knew you were the smallest boy in class would you go up to the football team with the largest boys in the class and start trying to pick a fight?
Put down their religion, their country and their deepest feelings.
Tell them they are wrong, violent and should change their religon because God is going to send them to hell to be tortured forever. That you and only you have the right religion and either convert or die?
