No one knows what the original Ten Commandments were because they were destroyed by Moses when he came down off Mt. Sinai at seeing the children of Israel reverting to idolatry.

Subsequently, God gave Moses what we now know as the Ten Commandments, which may be found in Exodus 20 and what other answerers have posted on this forum.

The children of Israel were not prepared for the higher order of law that was originally given Moses; they had to begin to endure grievous strict and harsh laws to bring them back from servitude of Egypt to followers of the True God.

The Ten Commandments:
1 And God spoke all these words:
2 "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 "You shall have no other gods before me.

4 "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand {generations} of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 "You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

8 "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your manservant or maidservant, nor your animals, nor the alien within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 "Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

13 "You shall not murder.

14 "You shall not commit adultery.

15 "You shall not steal.

16 "You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."

The orignial Commandments from Exodus 20:2-17 were NOT numbered.

2 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; 3 you shall have no other gods before me. 4 You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me, 6 but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments. 7 You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name. 8 Remember the sabbath day, and keep it holy. 9 For six days you shall labour and do all your work. 10 But the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and consecrated it. 12 Honour your father and your mother, so that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. 13 You shall not murder. 14 You shall not commit adultery. 15 You shall not steal. 16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbour. 17 You shall not covet your neighbour’s house; you shall not covet your neighbour’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox, or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbour.

The first three has to do with worship?
Had to learn this as a kid, I live in the bible belt and we had to memorize certain things.
1 make no image of anything and worship it. That could mean worship of a human. Like a movie star or president.
2 you must not take the name of God in a worthless way.
Like if he tells you something to do you should listen.
3Can't remember the third one
4 Setting aside time to be with your family and study the bible called the sabbath law. or one day of rest.
5 Honor your father and mother, which in those days meant to take care of them in their old age. They didn't have social security. today we pay into social security to take care of old people. So that's how we do that.
But we still have to love them and stuff.
6. Don't kill people
7. Don't have sex with people your not married to. and only marry the oposite sex.
8. don't lie
9 Don't be materialistic and want everything you see.
Be happy with what you have.
I missed one somewhere, Oh, i think it is don't steal stuff.
