For example: "Sly Fox" -I think from Brazil - just commented "someone just thumbed me down"

My question: What are some such expressions that you have noticed and liked?

idk why but i like the gothic ways. i always have since i was like 5 but my parents think everything is demonic and it drives me crazy cuz im a christian, not into anything satanic and i know christians can be gothic but they think christians must be that perfect, normallly subtle dressed people or else preps. i hate it and its not like i want to dress slutty or immodest or anything, just dark. i also love God alot and think that he looks on the inside instead of our appearance. HELP!!

This is a serious question. How would you 'define' God? I know what/who God is, that isn't what I am looking for...I guess I am looking to know what is God to you? Please try NOT to bash guys. I appreciate all serious answers.

- Why did God agree?
- And people in other lands never heard of Christ at that time.
- It is a gruesome story. It brings to mind human sacrifice to pacify gods, practiced earlier societies. The Incas sacrificed their children, and so did Abraham, nearly.

Isn't it literally the "absence of God?" With that said, then wouldn't the absence of God just be the absence of life? Why would people who didn't believe in God in the first place even care?

If you, as a Christian, were employeed as an archaelogist and you unearthed evidence that Jesus never existed, or found evidence that the Bible was "made up" from fables, if you saw that it, nomatter what it was, was a very important archaeological find, yet would really, really hurt the Christian religion, would you hide it?

I already know that you believe that no such evidence exists, but I'm talking about ethics. You know.... What if?

It's an ethical question.

If YOU KNEW that it was conclusive evidence against the claims of Christianity, and that it would definitely cause many, many to disbelieve.??

What would be your duty?

This isn't a case where it would be ignorant to say just because you can't see something doesn't mean it exists. This is a case where it would be ignorant to say something exists because someone else tells you it is there.

Can I wish everyone here on Yahoo R/S a Merry Greedfest?

I was trying to think of a good label for the upcoming holiday since a few people that are christians asked me what do I call the holiday that they celebrate as christmas, and I came up with Greedfest.

Just think about it. It is truly ironic that Jesus' teaching was about avoiding the pitfalls of earthly treasures, yet the celebration of his birth is the largest trade of earthly treasure between humans.

So, let me know if you believe Greedfest is a great alternative name for the day otherwise known as christmas.

How rare and precious it is to find one out of twenty sincere on Q&A. I for one, can only answer, or, ask, out of my experience, with the intent, of sharing, in trust, it will be helpful for others struggling with the realization of the same truth.

That's like making two bologna sandwiches, one with mustard and one without, later to reveal that you don't like sandwiches without mustard, so you throw it away. That's... fatal.

Forget about the Adam and Eve nonsense and also that we originated from apes which are made up stories to fool the gullible. So what other explanation is there? Would it be possible that the first people were beamed down, along with animals, mammals, etc?

When there are large non-Muslim minorities who have lived in Muslim lands for 1400 years uninterrupted? Lebanon which has been under Muslim rule for 1400 years is majority Christian- Bethlehem under Muslim rule was always majority Christian- while Muslim ruled cities like Istanbul, Jeruselam and Baghdad had huge non-Muslim minority populations-
India under Muslim rule 1000 years majority today still Hindu. Bulgaria, Greece under Muslim rule 500 years massively majority Christian.

Where are the non-Christians in Christian lands who have been there for that long? The longest staying community was the Jews and the Christians exterminated them in WWII (and they always sought protection in Muslim lands)
