How rare and precious it is to find one out of twenty sincere on Q&A. I for one, can only answer, or, ask, out of my experience, with the intent, of sharing, in trust, it will be helpful for others struggling with the realization of the same truth.

Like children playing in a sand box trying to build their castles in dry sand. Wake up people, there is no self. That is the discovery. The same truth is that realization! Is your intent of sharing, or is it self-gratification? Trust is different then faith, or not knowing. Trust is from the heart.

Good answer Overseer, but you may have missed the mark. Best too not think in the negative, and look for the positive in the hidden message.

Sirius, my love light, awakening one from slumber or, as you put it, giving a nudge is not through understanding. Not all descriptions of ice cream, its ingredience, its taste will give you the taste of ice cream. When the subject disappears, so also does the object. How can you search for yourself or even find yourself? Who is doing the search? Your friend is right on if the first candle is lit, and if the second candle is willing to surrender. The quality of the question does reflects the state of the asker, and if your are sincere, and if you are willing you shall be lit with the same flame.

The nature of those who continue to eat of the tree is that their knowledge is perfected beyond most.
That is the nature of the original sin.
BE not dismayed, for every pebble causes a ripple that reaches the shore.
It is not up to you who will hear the gospel, only for you to bring the message. There is no compulsion in any of this. How do we know the effectiveness of Gods word? They are but seeds that are planted. Certainly one day all of Gods seeds will bear fruit!
Blessings and peace to you,
All in all,
Nony

Asha...I would like to think that "all" questions lead to self-discovery, stupid or intelligent. The quality of the question reflects the state of the asker, and impatience toward any being would be sad. To know, from the question, how asleep any one appears to be should strike a chord in the one who chooses to reply. After all, how can one know whether in that moment of reading a single or many replies the questioner might receive an "Aha," if not a nudge, and begin to search further. A friend of mine tells me that it takes only one candle to light another and, thereby, perhaps awaken a sleeping one from deep slumber. We are all mirrors to one another, and maybe your own light will reflect back to that other. Many of us on R&S have the "proper" intent (if we can so judge) of sharing in great trust with strangers...and learning from them, as well. Not everyone is "struggling" to "realize" the truth; for them, perhaps we who are sincere are their first realization that there is another truth. Don't give up; you have so much to share. Namaste and be in peace. I am Sirius
P.S. Don't forget that there are newcomers every day to this forum. If you don't care to share with those who have no inclination toward spiritual development, at least consider those new to R&S. You can never know whom you might touch out of your own sincerity and deep experience. Methinks "patience" is thy foe. Ever Sirius
P.P.S. I have been able to link with some outstanding "contacts" by trolling answers to those questions that speak to me. We have a wide variety of experience and spiritual depth on R&S, many elders, so to speak, some with wonderful esoteric knowledge. Patience, patience, dear friend. Be the Light to the many. LoveLight

I concur and applaud the questioning format. You managed to answer and ask at the same time. Most of these people do ask/answer questions out of their own personal experiences along with selfish intent. Others probably just like to stir the pot. Few there be that are truly on a religious or spiritual quest for the truth. When the majority if made up of pretenders then one can expect foolishness.

Without stupid and self answering questions YA would collapse like being sucked down a sewer.
We that answer those questions are guilty of fanning the flames.

Many questions on this forum are chaff- to be winnowed out and ignored. Some are sincere. Some are shallow attempts to be provocative which mostly display an ignorance on the subject. Those are easy to ignore. Winnow on ; )

I for one have no intention of discovering myself on Yahoo! I think I'll stick the the good old fashion "live and learn" method. Some of us do get out now and then.
