I sometimes have dreams that I'm burning in Hell and am suffering. There is a dude with a double-barrel shotgun that curses all the time and claims that he is the devil. Has anyone else around here had similar experiences? Maybe I play Doom too much.

I'm not really a good person or a religious person...but I want to be deep down...
Is wanting to be a good person enough for me to go to Heaven or do I have to BE a good person?
I realise I should try to be a good person but my life is so bad at the moment that it's hard to be.

Jesus Christ did not say “I am God, worship me” I dare any Christian to tell me that Jesus peace be upon him in his own words, Not Mathew, not Mark not Luke not John nor Paul but Jesus said “I am God, worship me”. Bring your Bibles, call somebody up , go make a phone call, get the verse. You’ll never find it.You’ll find somebody else’s words alluding to that ,you’ll find somebody else’s reference appearing that. But Jesus never said to anyone “I am God,worship me” He said, “My father” He didn’t say my father who art in Heaven.because He was not exclusively a servant of God. He said when he taught them how to pray, I’M A MUSLIM NOW & I STILL LOVE JESUS CHRIST I’M STILL CONNECTED TO HIS MESSAGE AND I KNOW IT VERY WELL, He said and you know He said, “our father” didn’t he say that .He didn’t mean “our father” in the sense that he gave birth to us. but he said “our Lord who art in Heaven hal be thy name” not my name not our name, “thy kingdom come” not my kingdom come not our kingdom come….if he is part of the trinity, if he’s Divine if he’s part of God or if he’s next to God, he will say OUR kingdom come, he said “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven give us this day our daily bread” Did he peace be upon him not say that, you see for yourself in your Bible….so now if he said that “give us this day our daily bread” that means Jesus and his mother could not have been Divine. You and I we eat and drink, Jesus and his mother ate and drank, and you and I know when you eat and drink the body only uses some of it , the rest of it the body evacuates. Now can you imagine God defecating and urinating?.... Let’s move on with the “Lord’s” prayer; “ Give US this day our daily bread and forgive US our trespasses as we forgive those who”.who do what… “trespass against us, lead us not into temptation, huh?, but deliver us from evil, for thyn is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever” now does this sound like God praying to you, did you ever think about that… now that’s the ‘Lord’s prayer that’s the evidence of that. now we know Jesus said that . that wasn’t Mathew, Mark, Luke and John and Paul..Jesus said that. Dear brothers and sisters go home and palm through all the pages in your Bible and I guarantee you’ll never find it once anywhere.SO WHERE DID THIS COME FROM? And in three or four different occasions it is mentioned in your scripture that I have read throughout my life that Jesus walked off and fell down on his face and he worshipped God ..Now is that God bowing down to Himself? Is that God calling on Himself? No. Jesus said “I am Jesus who is sent, and the one who is sent is not like the One Who sent me” Jesus said “I can of my own self do nothing, but what’s through of the One Who orders me the One Who sent me tells me to do, that is what I do” We cannot take Jesus out of the context of what Jesus said himself and make Jesus what we want him to be. We can’t make Jesus a man god b/c the Romans and the Greeks had men gods b/c Jesus said “take not my message unto the Greeks, the Romans, the Samaritans from our message and I was sent to whom the lore sheep of the tribe of Israel” is this not what Jesus said? So Paul was mistaken when he said I became Apostle to the Gentiles Jesus said don’t take my message to them. Brothers and sisters we can immediately see by such an example and definition that Jesus himself submitted himself to God, that Moses and Abraham submitted themselves to God, that Isaac and Ishmael submitted themselves to God, that John the Baptist submitted himself to God. And submission means surrender and surrender means salamah SALAMAH. And the one who does that is called a MUSLIM. So what was Jesus? What was Abraham? What was Moses? What was David?

Only crazy or ultra sensitive people would be offended by being wished a merry Christmas. The vast majority of this nation is Christian and celebrates Christmas. If we fear offending anyone, we will eventually do nothing, since someone is always offended by something we do. Stores are free to do business as they see fit. We are free to spend our money where and as we see fit. Let's wisely decide how we spend our money and where we spend it.

Is there a particular song that touches your heart every time you hear it?

Does it make you think of Jesus?

Does it remind you of a happy or sad time in your life?

I love so many, it's hard to choose, but some of my faves are "Do You Hear What I Hear?," "O Holy Night," "The Christmas Song" (it's not about our Lord, but it makes me think of a nice family gathering in a log cabin), "Let It Snow" (just a fun song), and so many others.

This is a question for personal knowledge, since I am not a Christian and have no vested interest in the responses (though I do prefer they be true).

I understand some people (ignorantly) object to to the term Xmas, not realizing it dates back to ancient manuscripts, since the Latin for Jesus' title (Christos) begins with a X. But why don't more people object to the suffix "mas" in Christmas? To use that suffix is to acknowledge the Roman Catholic ownership of that holiday. See, "mas" is short for "mass", as in the Eucharistic celebration in the Latin liturgical rites of the Roman Catholic Church (and some other Catholic and High Church Lutheran worship). Should Protestants in general use another name for the holiday.

Science: the study of nature, the universe, the physical world.
God: not nature, the universe, or the physical world.
So why do atheists want to disprove God with science? Clearly the two are not compatible. Or do you think that science is the be-all end-all, and there is no power other than it?

Since we have sent so many to defend against athiestic and secular dictator despots, what religious affiliation has sent more to combat and die for others to have the right say what they want and rail against the same religion that defends their rights? We have fought wars against Communists, Marxists, Socialists, dictators, and despots. Is it the Christians?
