... and if we are, is it a good idea to run up as much debt as possible, because I don't believe there will be any debt collectors around after the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse have done their thing

just curious ... it's nothing personal, they seem SO intensely focused on being a 'good Christian', that they miss a lot of what is going on around them.

an I'm not saying everyone is like this, I've just met a couple people that were a little intensely focused.

it's sort of like "so heavenly bound, no earthly good."

I am going through probably one of the top three worst times in my life right now. (As most of my R&S friends know, I have finally gotten myself out of an abusive relationship).

However, I am holding up surprisingly well. Those who love me have really held me up and carried me throughout the fog of the last couple of weeks. I feel stronger than I have in three years!

Have you ever had this happen to you?

In Tibetan society, children are often born who display early signs of incredible knowledge and understanding of Buddhist scriptures. These children are recognised as re-incarnations of great teachers. A boy was recently discovered in Africa who at 5 yrs old can speak in several languages and preaches on the Koran to huge gatherings of people. Are these children reincarnate saints? Have we been here before?

or should I say Christians, balance the beliefs of human rights and the Christian way of life? There are just some things that I think people have the right to do, like gay relations, but don't agree with God's word. The Bible was written by humans afterall, and one of the disiples were sexist, so how can we completely trust that what they say happened, actually happened? And what about all the stuff that was supposed to be in the Bible but the Romans decided not to put it in there? These Biblical myths that most Christians refuse to believe, make more sense to me in the end. They fill in a lot of the blanks. Just os everyone knows, I'm not asking this to be ignorant, I really do want to know. I'm trying so hard to understand, but the gaps keep screaming at me, I need more (and better) answers. I truely want the truth. Gee, maybe I should take Bible study classes at my college.

When people ask me what my religion is, I always say I don't have one. I don't believe in organized religion or feel that I need to dedicate a part of my life to it. I don't, however, rule out the possibility that there is a higher force out there. I just don't believe that it matters whether or not there is. Therefore, I rather not spend my life trying to figure out if there is or not. What would sort of philosophy would this be considered? I was thinking Agnostic, but I always felt Agnostic was for people who were unsure and whose minds were not made up.

Did anybody do anything more special than usual for the Yule celebrations this year?
And if you haven't yet, what do you have in mind?
I'm looking for something more significant than the usual, this is special year for me.
Any ideas?
For those of you that may take offense at me asking, please don't, it's not your input I'm looking for here.
Thank you for your kindness.
