I don't know if they really are. I bet you don't hate muslims, and I don't, and that already makes two of us and a lot of muslimsthemselves love other muslims (maybe you are one yourself?), and a lot of non muslims love muslims. We're all one big, happy family. Don't let the media persuade you otherwise. Sure there are fanatics and people with odd points of view, but they are few and far between,
Mind you, there are many loathsome racists around.

Hmm, you know it pains me to know what non muslims think about Islam these days....its a shame.....my answer is directed towards the haters of Islam.

I understand where people get a bad image of muslims and Islam...but think.....why are there so many followers of Islam? We are human beings arn't we? So if Islam was so evil...why would we accept itand bring it into our lives?

Im a muslim..and no matter what people say..i am proud of it and proud of Islam. Before you think of it...no....I'm not a terrorist..i don't want to kill or hurt any human being whether they were Christiansm, Jews, Sikhs or Hindus. And yet still i accept Islam like millions and billions of other normal people in the world.

I admit..many bad things happen in the world..and people give Islam the reason behind it. But people from different cultures have interpreted Islam according to theselves. And then its all teh negitive stuff they've made that non belivers see. I Blame PEOPLE in Islam for portraying us muslims in a bad way. If all us muslims lived truly with accordance to Islam then non-belivers woudl truly know what Islam is about. I think if each and ever muslims...could truly practise their faith (including myself) then we would be a good example to others and we chould chnage the minds of people around us.

So yes..media does portray muslims in a bad light..but why?..because they do do wrong don't they?!...im talking about the attacks that have happend and the abuse....i know its a minority..most muslism woud'nt even dream of such stuff...but even still there are some idiots who don't think twice and take relgion into their own hands.

You know what confuses me...is that evil does'nt only exist in so called 'muslims' you know. Have you people ever considered what goes on in your own conutries between teh average communty all the time. People and children getting abused, all the rape and killings..isn't this evil?...The only difference is that yes...the killers here don't say ' i did it because im a christian'...and you know why..because they ain't a Christian in the first place! If you ask me...most of teh Christianst ect i know don't even take their relgion as seriously as they use to.

People need to understand...that in most countries..relgion rules evrything. So someone who is labelled a 'muslim' may just blame relgion because thats probably a ticket out of their problem. Reality is that there are extremists out there and they do thinsg according to themselves. Therefore i'd advise non muslims to be a little more sensible and inteligent and understand that just because someone says it's Islam they shouldn't take it literally. Instead why dont you peopel look at all the muslism across the world who are lving in peace and harmony with other peopel from different faiths.

Fifty years ago, we were all told how evil Communists were, sixty years ago it was the Germans, and again a couple of decades before that. There have been quite a few times in history when the Jews have been blamed for everything from the Black Death to worldwide economic collapse. A couple of centuries ago, Catholics were demonised, likewise were Protestants in Catholic countries.

There always has to be some sort of hate figure- these days, it's the followers of Islam, even though the Koran says precious little about blowing up everyone who doesn't wear a silly beard.

In a few decades there will be another hate figure for the Media and politicians to blame for the world's woes- hopefully by then the terrorists on BOTH side of this horrific 'war on terror' will have died and we will find someone to hate who is well worth hating

Might I suggest the bright sparks who use stairwells as public conveniences

If we strip away all the rituals, celebrations, traditions and other things that define any particular religion, we are left with something that every organised religion holds dear: GOODNESS. Religion is guide for people to be good. We are human. Humans make mistakes. Sometimes those mistakes hurt others. Mistakes are part of being human. Religion tries to guide people to do the right thing and to be good. Some religions have lots of rules. Some people need lots of rules. Following the rules might not make someone a "better" person, but if everyone follows the rules, it sure makes living together a lot nicer!
i think its a simple case of you reap what you sow. removing the terrorist aspect Muslims do not integrate in Christian or any other religions community's. they have honour killings murdering their own children for falling in love with non Muslims is nothing short of barbaric. honour killings are the extreme however there is still a community and family issue where a Muslim to fall in love with a non Muslim they loose all friends and family becoming outcasts . when you choose to move to another country you should embrace that culture you would not buy or rent a house in an area you didn't like. we now live a technological and scientific world and their is no proof or even a shred of evidence for an almighty being or an after life unfortunately when you are dead your dead gone finished the near death experience is reported by pilots during g force training. religion in its time of misunderstanding gave people morals and a way for leaders to control people as the laws we have now do. and it explained things they did not understand at that time if a supreme being made the earth and the universe where did it come from you can't create yourself. and why are religions different the bible the quran Jesus is a profit in the quran Mohamed and Jesus died on the same hill around the same time. what ever you believe some people believe in one God. In other religions, people believe there are many gods, each one having a particular purpose. Many religions believe that God is everywhere: God is in nature; God is in the good actions of people; and, God is in the mysteries of life and the heavens. Some people believe that there is no such thing as God. Whatever you believe, always remember that others have a right to their beliefs, even if those beliefs conflict with yours. Always strive to be the best that you can be. Set an example through your good actions. if you do not like the culture you live in or feel you need to band with people of your beliefs you should choose to live in a country that has the same beliefs you do alternately give us some rock hard evidence your supreme being exists all religious leaders have bullet proof cars now that's faith in a supreme being for you

A group of women and children in Iraq are blown to bits by a suicide bomber, none other than al_Quaida, a Muslim group. Planes are flown into the towers in NY, by whom, Muslims. A plane is flown into the pentagon, by whom, Muslims. Everywhere you look on the news around the world, it is always the Muslims that are causing horrific deaths. Muslims call Christians infidels. This is just some of the reasons. I know that not all are like this but still the News Media portrays most as being like this. Start taking a stand. If you represent peace, stand for it. Let the world know you do not agree with killing Christians in other parts of the world. Let the world know you don't agree with mad people that bomb innocents. The USA, in my opinion, should step in and stop the president of Iran for his terrible atrocities toward others. Check out IRNA news, then go to Iran Focus news on human rights. Take a look at what others see. Read the attached news article, this may give you insight.

Because the religious fanatics who are in control teach hatred towards all non-Muslims. Even if a Muslim is helped by a non Muslim , the Muslim must not be grateful. They treat their women with contempt and respect nothing that is different.

The fanatics will not get along with any other religions . Wherever they are they preach the same, hatred and death to all non Muslims. We have all seen or heard of the results of their preachings. Many people believe that Muslims are only out for one thing , World domination.

IThe Media probably exaggerates a lot, but if you listen to preachers like Abu Hamza you realise a lot of it is true!

They're not. Our differences are fundamental and transcend such base emotions as hate. There is a clash of ieologies here that may never be resolved. In order to hate you have to know, you have to acknowledge; Can we do this?

Of course many muslims are not terrorists.

However, the vast majority of terrorism in the modern world is carried out by muslims.

An additional problem is that many muslims refuse to clearly and unconditionally condemn terrorism, maltreatment of women, persecution of christians in muslim countries, honour killings etc

A third reason is that, in the west, many muslims cut themselves off, refuse to mix in, show loyalty to their new country etc.

Too many muslims are guilty of the above crimes, more are not guilty, but they refuse to condemn, thats wrong.

The people harming islam the most, are sadly people who claim to be muslim themselves.
