your thoughts perish. You know nothing. Your next experience will be the resurrection. (hopefully of the righteous)

Revelation 20:11 to 15 - There will be a "great White throne Judgment" and God will be sitting on the throne, and all the dead, small and great will stand before God. Then the books will be opened and another book will be opened, which is the book of life, and the dead will be judged out of the books according to their works. and the sea will give up the dead in it, and death and hell will deliver up the dead that are in them, and they will be judged every man according to their works.
And death and Hell will be cast into the Lake of Fire which is the second death. And everyone whose name doesn't appear in the "Book of Life" will be cast into the Lake of Fire.
I believe the "books" are a list of sinners who have never repented and a record of all their evil thoughts, words and deeds. Notice that nothing is said about those in the Book of Life being judged - only those in the books.
The record will be so clear to those in the books that they will have no argument against God concerning their lives and their refusal to receive eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ. They will only be able to tremble knowing their destiny and judgment are sure. It will be a horrible revelation and sickening to everyone present but it will be irreversible.
Obviously those who have trusted Christ will experience a time of observing those who have not, and then they will enter into eternal peace and joy with Christ. That can be proven by numerous scriptures.
There are plenty of other scriptures that clarify this and show a clear separation between the fate of the righteous and the fate of the wicked. It is vitally important that everyone study them who is wise enough to care for their soul and the souls of those they love.

Luk 20:35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:
Luk 20:36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
Luk 20:37 Now that the dead are raised, even Moses shewed at the bush, when he calleth the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Luk 20:38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27(KJV) - And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement. Now prior to this, while you are on this earth, how you lived here will determine what happens to you. When you read verse 28, it says - So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. This tells me that without Christ in our lives, we are nothing and if you have accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will be with him in Paradise. And for those that died in their sins will have no part in the Kingdom of God - John 3:16(KJV).

The Bible says you merely go to the grave (see reference) and only the breath of life returns to God (Gen. 3:19; Psalms 104:29; Psalms 146:4). You see, we don't *have* the spiritual concept of a "spirit." The word "rûach" translated in the Bible into the English word "spirit" (Eccl. 12:7) is referring to the Breath of Life given to us by God.
H7307 (רוּח) rûach (roo'-akh)
From H7306; wind; by resemblance breath, that is, a sensible (or even violent) exhalation;
H7306 (רוּח) rûach (roo'-akh)
A primitive root; properly to blow, that is, breathe;
...and there is no such thing as hell (see reference).
God bless.

You die, end of story.
Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”

This is very, VERY complex, and cannot be sufficiently answered on Yahoo.
Find a BIBLE-BASED church, attend, and listen.
God be with you in your searching.

If you go to Heaven, the first thing you do is laugh at Athiests.
If you go to Hell, you are first put on the committee to welcome the Athiests.
